People seem awfully surprised a player chose a significant raise and still a chance at a title. Not really a tough decision at all.

The kid that they drafted will help the Sixers too....that said , isn't going to be able to hold up when Embid can't play...it's not that much of a game changer for them.

Kawhi is screwing the league by waiting for "a couple of days" to make his decision.

It's a pretty smart move when you consider the Tatum and Brown extensions coming.

I know everyone is bemoaning the departure of Al Horford. And yeah, we'll miss his toughness and wild stuff like his three point shooting.

BUT...

Today we got rid of our locker room problems (Kyrie and Terry), avoided a super terrible contract (Al), and signed a top scoring guard who averaged 26 ppg last season and is a multiple sportsmanship award recipient.

It's a breath of fresh air tbh. I'll take our chances with Kemba, Tatum, Brown, Smart, Hayward over the hellish nightmare that was 2018-19.

I love Al, but I did get tired of seeing the Horford pick and pop for 3 at the top of the key last season

Yep. That's what I suggested last thread:

A poor man's -- or rich barber's -- Al Horford.

Lol. Heck no. KO does nothing for this team. 7 footer that can’t rebound is the last thing this team needs.

Annoying

While we may have gotten Kemba, Sixers got Horford, and Kawhi is probably going to choose between raptors or lakers so a lose-lose situation regardless. Kyrie and Durant in Brooklyn. The Atlantic division is by far the strongest now

Lakers still need to fill out 4-15.

Melo would fall in towards the top.

They need shooters though. Who can shoot on that team?

Yeah it's laughable to consider him much of a vocal leader after witnessing last year's Celtics.

He’s a quiet leader. Good for young guys to learn from but isn’t the type to call anybody out on their bull like a KG or Pierce would. Which is what we needed in the worst way but I think Jimmy is a bit more in that Kyrie mold than anyone else in Philly. Sure Embiid is a little immature but otherwise they may not need anything over the top leadership wise. Al’s a good fit for them

Give me Favors, Kanter and Looney and call it the end of the off-season. No need to be greedy

Goodbye expensive ass dude who set screens and hit some threes and missed a **** of important wide open shots around the rim. I could care less
