RJ Barrett + Julius Randle + 2 Dallas #1's + Kevin Knox feels like enough and works under the cap. Maybe they can re-route Randle for a PG?

Then make a run for Joe Harris as the fish in free agency. Draft Cole or Haliburton as their game compliments Ben's the most.

With the Sixers stuck with Al Horford’s horrible contract they could be better off trading Joel Embiid rather than Ben Simmons.

Ditto on Simmons. Build around him like Bucks did Giannis. Dude is elite defensively, can run an offense, and be the #1 option.

I don’t think Philly would want our guys since they wanna compete, but I don’t think it’s too hard to get a 3rd team involved... like Washington for Beal or something.

Joe Harris would be perfect on a Philly-JJ Redick type 1 year deal too. Def keep our pick... I think Cole, Haliburton, even Ball (if we landed higher) and Obi (if lower) would be nice fits with him. I’d even give up Mitch instead of Knox if we had to.

Those 2015 draft debates here were among my most enjoyable times as a Knick fan. I would have loved to have seen these two on our team.

Best of luck to KAT and D-Lo. Thanks THJr!

Guys, don't forget that people cried when we landed #4 because that meant we'd also lose out on Okafor.

This. They both sorta suck. And we had the best odds of KAT and didn’t get him, right? You can’t yell about odds.

We had the second best odds thanks to Timmy. Minny has the best odds and landed KAT.

For the record, I'd trade RJ and this years first with Knox and Dot for Ben Simmons..

Build around him as a PG/Center and surround with 4 shooters and defenders. Would be good basketball and fun to watch imo

All that for a non shooting PG?

I would trade our 1st rounder. But Im not tryna get rid of RJ. If ben and embiid doesnt work. Ben and Mitch wont

I think you’re selling him extremely short by labeling him just a non shooting pg.

KP is losing just as much as Randle without Luka. FWIW.

According to multiple media members, part of the reason Towns has been so upset and why Butler left is because of Wiggins and his lack of motivation and effort level combined with the amount of money he makes... Then there was the whole Team Canada thing and him refusing to play for them. There's a lot of similar things around Wiggins that are coming out about Russell and well..it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together to see why these "reports" about Russell are coming out now...

Warriors realize they got a chit package because everyone called their bluff that they would hold DLo past this season and now they're having the media carry their water for them to stay in the Dubs good graces...

Remember just last summer there was a real debate amongst respected NBA media guys whether Brooklyn should just keep DLo instead of getting Kyrie and now all of a sudden that's changed? Why? Because Russell is having a better statistical season? It jsut doesn't add up for me. The Warriors never wanted him and made that clear yesterday (which is fine BTW I was noted on this board as being anti-Russell all last offseason for the Knicks). I just don't buy all these smearing tactics as any sort of confirmation on an opinion on Russell the basketball player when the Dubs brought back in a clearly worse player on a worse deal.

This is all just Warriors justification through the media for their chit show of a deadline that was a desperate attempt to get under the lux tax.

I agree that the trade was bad, no matter how its sliced.

If they wanted to get out of D-Lo and his deal, the answer is not to take a worse player on a worse deal.

The thing is i cant for the life of me understand why they didnt take the Knicks reported package... it makes me think that they actually just value Wiggins which well... if I'm a warriors fan im not too confident about the post Curry era future. Not that it really matters considering they had about the greatest 5 year run ever as a fanbase.

I had the exact thought as you and then the realization that they really must value Wiggins  I learned my lesson with Dantoni and Lin- made WIggins will shine in their environment...
