Having a stellar defense is pretty much a requirement.

There's only been one team in the last 10 plus years to win a Super Bowl & not finish with a top 10 scoring defense.

But, you already know that...right!?

Its not like you to come to the table behind the 8-ball and not up to date.  Since the trade along with the addition of Hooker and Overshown coming back from injury, the Dallas Doomsday defense has been 5th best in the NFL beating both teams in last year's Super Bowl to top it of. Are you denying these facts? :wavefinger: :ouch: :reporter:

So, you're fully bought in again? You think this is a Super Bowl caliber defense?

First of all, I was asking Mr. B. a question regarding our possible championship offense and his thoughts. Second of all, you interjected yourself in this conversation before we even had ours and brought up stellar defenses. So I play along with you and give you some updated facts on the defense and you then move the goal posts from stellar defense to a championship defense. Geez, so far neither one of us has even mentioned a stellar or championship defense when it comes to the Cowboys defense so, o.k. I guess. And third of all, if you have a championship or top 3 offense, you really don't need a championship defense. Just a good to middle of the road one will do just fine with an offense that can score almost every time they get the ball.

Cowboys losing is so much more fun than the Cowboys winning. The same "fans" that were checked this season and already looking forward to the draft are acting like they knew this late season turnaround was coming. A bunch of Skip Bayless' out here.

I still think the only way the Cowboys are going to make the playoffs is if they win the NFC East. I think they’ve dug themselves too deep a hole to make it in as a Wild Card. Right now Seattle, San Francisco, and Green Bay have better records than Dallas. I think the only hope is that Philly continues to struggle and loses 2 games. They still have the Chargers, Buffalo, and Washington (twice). Dallas needs Philly to lose 2 games and the Cowboys need to win out. That’s a lot of if’s.

I think more than likely we are just seeing a preview of what next year’s Cowboys team will look like.

For someone that never posts it’s clear you don’t pay attention to the Cowboys fans around here. You seem to be applying the National perception of Cowboys fans to the actual fans on this board.

No Cowboys fan here expected this and I’d say all of us are still pretty skeptical. Also none of us are expect playoff success even if they do make it in the playoffs.

Yeh my post was more so directed at people that I know irl. I don't keep up with the Cowboys fans on this board so cant speak to that.

Most of us here are pretty reasonable and understand they dug themselves a hole so deep they might not be able to climb out of regardless of how well they are playing right now.

He's Schrödinger's Cowboys fan. You only know if he's fully bought-in after the playoffs are over. If they lose, then he was just joking all along. If they win, then he knew that the feeling was different this year.
