What a disgrace..MJ should get in this guys face and tell him if we dress him he needs to show some interest or we will dress him and leave him in the locker room. THE fans are p''ssed. If he's on the bench play him some minutes at 3 backing up MKG..Tell him to shoot 12-15 foot jumpers and drive to basket. He's so thin he can't play 4 anymore..

Rather him act like that than continually bounce a ball during practice while telling our head coach to "humble" himself.

I can't speak for all of the fans but I enjoyed watching Tyrus at the game last night and wish they would mic him up. Also we don't need anyone else backing up MKG, Dunlap subs him out quickly already as it is.

I agree, if TT is actually keeping a positive attitude and being a good locker room presence I will give him some respect. (only a little bit, I still wish he was long gone)

He's stuck with us, he probably won't play at all, kudos for not being a complete cancer.

Could end up working out nicely for the Celtics

He hung 43 on Miami.

It was a horrible signing at the time and while the deal still is not looking that great, it sure as hell isn't as bad as Tyrus's signing.

With the season coming to a close I'm slowly starting to think about how the mixtapes of our 2012-13 season will look like. Despite the fact that Tyrus has only played in 23 games this season, I have a decent amount of footage featuring his lowlights. Do you guys think he deserves a video of me poking fun at his many shortcomings? I kind of feel for him as he's been our best bench cheerleader and has been somewhat decent (although the cringe-worthy moments are still there) since he's regained PT. It makes me wonder whether Mullens doesn't actually deserve this even more. Or have I got soft and forgot how much we all used to dislike him?

I would like to hear the opinion of the veterans of our board.

i wouldnt even waste time on tyrus this year. i think your time would be better spent on the following ideas:

1. ben gordon's unforced turnovers
2. byron mullens trying to play defense
3. ben gordon trying to play defense
4. biz trying to catch passes
5. our team giving up wide open 3s due to awful rotations

Dear god, let the amnesty happen with Tyrus. Hes being force-fed minutes and hes still not doing anything. Meanwhile Jeff Adrien is being treated like a rookie on a Larry Brown coached team.

I think tyrus has been playing ok lately...you can fix stupid but he clearly has been working on his jumper Plus Adrian is still short.

I would love to retain Jeff Adrien this offseason at the expense of amnestying Tyrus Thomas. I'm one of the few posters that don't despise Tyrus as much as the others. I honestly wish we would've played Tyrus more than Mullens during the season but I think Adrien is the perfect goon to keep at the end of the bench for toughness in the paint because he won't ask for much but the opportunity to stay in the NBA and he won't be bullied.

To me, that was definitely one of the highlights of the season. Every time I think of BG telling Dunlap to "humble himself," I crack up inside.

Aside from Kemba that incident is the single most newsworthy Bobcats event of the season.

"Humble Yourself"

This is an absolute disgrace and **** Ben Gordon but hilarious also, imagine being the guys on the team that laughed? (I'm sure some did)

It also shows the absolute disregard for Mike Dunlap that this team has that this information would get leaked.

He just retweeted a three year old tweet from Big Baby that basically said "Follow Tyrus." This is kinda sad.

Good for him that he gets to basically handpick his own team though, just sucks that MJ has to foot the bill.

Can he? Don't they have an auction for amnestied players?

No one placed a claim, so he can pretty much go wherever for whatever amount. MJ pays the difference between his old and new salaries. Same reason Blatche keeps playing for pennies, he gets the same amount regardless, only difference is who pays for it.

I'm sure MJ would just rather pay him to go away.

So much for the cheap label... Tyrus Thomas is literally the anti-MJ so good riddance to him and his 16m severence package.

Hey guys Knicks fan here.

Theres been some talk about the Knicks supposedly maybe sorta being interested in Tyrus for the minimum. I havent had a good feel for him the past few years where he seemingly fell off a cliff, but whats your true take on the guy? Not expecting very glowing reviews, but has he really gotten that bad? Is it injuries? Attitude? Dumbass? He just suck? All of the above?

He was never a great player but the past 2 years were pitiful. As a versatile bench guy who could come in and defend / block shots / hit a jumper / be athletic he used to seem solid for 20 minutes. Is it unlikely he returns to that? Or has he declined to a place he cant get out of?

Tyrus is clearly not worth the 8 mill he was getting but is he even worth a minimum deal? Or would he be a distraction? There arent many big man options for the minimum out there right now, so pathetically hes one of the better ones. Im hoping for Brand or KMart first regardless.

Thanks and oh cheers for the SL game today. Looking forward to watching Zeller.

I dont think I would have a problem signing him to a Vet Min contract. He is worth that to a team.

he got hurt a few years ago and his athleticism never came back. now he struggles to dunk and has to set his feet to do the most basic moves. he has no offensive game outside of a few mid range jump shots. his ball handling looks like a baby deer being born and he is a poor rebounder because of his thin frame... really the only thing he does well is block shots and he is not as good at that as he use to be.

oh yea he is really really reallly low basketball IQ...but he does have a great attitude on the bench and the players seem to like him
