And I'm open to dealing Sanders there IF we actually could somehow get real value from them.

Waiters could be a good fit on the Pacers now that Stephenson is gone but I'm not sure he would be so good for them where they'd want to set up the Cavs like this -- unless they think their window with Paul George is already closed.

Either way it's interesting to think about what Cleveland is up to now particularly in the recent context of the Bogans trade. Marc Stein seems to think that was about gearing up for bigger action this summer:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/11598 ... phia-76ers

Cleveland hopes that, by moving Bogans into the Sixers' cap space, its new trade exception generated by this deal can prove as valuable as a trade chip and simply keeping Bogans and dangling him in potential deals over the next several months.

The Cavs still possess another valuable potential trade piece in veteran center Brendan Haywood, whose $10.5 million salary in 2015-16 is fully unguaranteed and thus likely to appeal to teams seeking ‎cap relief.

Cleveland can now no longer aggregate the contracts of Bogans and Haywood ‎next summer to potentially pursue a player with a superstar salary, but trading Bogans away now likely ensures that the Cavs will have no luxury-tax issues at season's end.

If the Cavs were about to pull the trigger on a Hibbert deal you'd think they would have preferred to use Bogans' contract combined with Haywood's weird deal to get to max-salary cap space.

That's awesome. I think Boston will be better than us this year, even without Rondo.

Hopefully they are. Our top 2 prospects are 19, so it wouldn't be shocking really. I'll easily take our 25 and under core over theirs though.

4/32 mil for Markieff and 4/20 mil for Marcus

That's great they got a deal together. I love these dudes.

As soon as PG13 went down I suggested the Cavs go after Hibbert. If he is dealt to Clev, they could potentially have the best big rotation in the NBA w/ Love, Thompson, Marion, Hibbert & AV.

I love what the Suns have going on right now. The Morris twins will be solid values on their respective deals. Markieff had a few stretches last year where he was making a huge impact.

Their back court depth is insane with Dragic and Bledsoe able to both play the 1/2, then you have Thomas off the bench and Ennis is an unknown as far as impact on an NBA game, but showed a lot of promise as an efficient distributor for Syracuse last year. Then at the 2 you have the realized potential version of Gerald Green with Archie Goodwin and now Zoran Dragic added to that mix. A lot to like about that, but there's a lot of question marks around how the minutes will be split up.

Be nice to see Lebron not need to stack the deck again someday. The Cavs are already loaded and I really hope they miss on Hibbert.

Hard to say those are crappy deals when Channing Frye got 4/$32 also. At least the Morris guys are young and great chemistry players.

I don't blame Phoenix for what they are doing. They are stuck on the path of trying to be competitive as they have too many decent young players right now to blow things up.

I think the plan is clearly to lock guys in at the current market rates before they inevitably rise with the salary cap down the road. Keeps them on a cap-friendly, tradeable deal. How often have we seen upcoming FA/RFA not get an extension during the season because the organisation thought they weren't worth it then when the player hits the open market, the team ends up paying more?

It's a smart strategy but could turn out bad if the negotiator isn't a seasoned one because they would effectively be bidding against themselves.

And that they couldn't get them to stand in that order.

The easily cannot be emphasized enough...Smart, maybe Young and maybe Sullinger are the only guys I'd find room for on the Bucks.

Either Parsons' abs are hiding under a summer of eating and he's about to go on a cut, or he spent some time in a pharmacy.

His face/cheeks are more doughy, though, so...

EDIT: OR there's camera chicanery:
