Nothing on this team fits. This is one hot mess of a roster, nobody plays well together, and the Bulls are not good on either end of the floor. As individual parts these guys have some value, but sadly we have a front office that's scared to make a deal. I can run off five trades that could be made today that would improve the roster from a style of play / fit perspective. Sad but true, the Bulls just suck.

Doug McDermott and Tony Snell are pretty much non-factor when they're not hitting their shots. And we can only rely on Aaron Brooks to run the point with Derrick injured.
GarPax! please upgrade our talent! no more one dimensional player please!
Brooks was the only available healthy guard left. If Moore and/or Hinrich were healthy they would have played tonight (which in turn would have meant less Brooks, Snell and/or McDermott)

But they move the ball so much better without Rose...

The Heat have no 3pt shooting, but lucky for them neither do we. They shot 21% on 3's, we shot 27% lol. And 39% from the field.
Hoiball! Watch out league.

How long until Paxson attacks him in his office, and Forman leaks to the media that Hoiberg is a big bad bully like Thibs.

The Bulls are a mediocre team. But so is pretty much every other team in the NBA.
There are 3 or 4 really good teams in the NBA (GS, SA, maybe CLE, maybe OKC (the latter 2 teams have looked awful at times, though) )
There are 3-4 really bad teams in the NBA (Phi, LAL, Min, maybe Pho)
The other 22-24 teams are mediocre/average. Which is why the Bulls, even with all their issues, still have a very good chance of being a Top 4 seed come the postseason

That's how it looks when 40 Million dollars worth of players are not playing.
And 3 PG's are out.

It appeared pretty clear to me that Rose got injured during the game. It's possible that his hamstribg or back was feeling tight before the contest, but he didn't seem to be having any trouble moving early in the game

Really hard for a team to ever get a rhythm when this is always happening. Makes it worse when the only other healthy PG is a SG in a 5'10" body who can;t run a simple PnR, can't find open bigs. When they leave Taj open with 10 feet of paint in front of him where he has his choice of a open 12 footer, which is fairly high percentage or a easy drive and finish which is very high percentage.... and instead we are jacking 27 foot threes with a 1 pt lead and 2 minutes to go. It's f'ing stupid. Brooks is just awful... I don't ever want to see the Bulls in a game where we are living or dying with Aaron Brooks offense. We will lose more than we win.

I have been watching the Bulls since the early 80's and this team the last year and a half has been as unenjoyable to watch as any Bulls team I have seen. There is no real entertainment factor the way they play, nothing for you to appreciate in regards to effort.
And those who say the players refuse to play Hoiball are not being realistic. Look at this roster full of slugs, they are not built to be a fast paced team. The roster has such limited speed and athletic ability they are not capable of running up and down. Its like having Peyton Manning as your quarterback and trying to run the wishbone offense. Donkeys cannot be made into thoroughbreds.
How the front office thought it would work is beyond me, they were so obsessed with proving Thibs was the problem they had blinders on.

Which is really part of the roster being a hot mess and nobody playing well together.. no consistency, no rhythm is ever achieved when guys are constantly in and out of the line up.
When you rely on Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich's health, for your team's primary and secondary point guard play you should probably expect this, though.

It looks the exact same way when everyone is healthy my friend. This isn't the first down game - do you not remember all the other duds the Bulls have laid with Rose healthy and able? Wake up, this team is a bunch of misfits - nothing fits, be proactive for a change and blow it up now while you can recoup some value. Rose, Snell, McDermott, Dunleavy, Brooks, Gasol Gibson, Mirotic, Noah's contract should all be available on the market. The only semi-untouchable is Butler, but for the right price I'd consider it. Portis is a tough guy to move but depending on the offer I'd even consider moving him. No reason to hold onto anyone right now, outside of Butler and Portis maybe - blow it up, expedite the rebuild.

It's an endless cycle of futility.
Any path to winning in the present goes through healthy Derrick.
All paths that keep us mediocre go through unhealthy Derrick.

Derrick hasn't been HEALTHY and ABLE for 15 consecutive games.
Since 2011.

Exactly why they need to trade Rose and move on. Enough is enough, he is the biggest black cloud hovering over this team. Trade Rose to BK for Joe Johnson's expiring contract straight up.
