They are 3-0...going up against the Bills, where they will win by 2 touchdowns. Nothing poor about that...

I've always disliked the ESPN NFL broadcasts. I'll watch and put up with them if its a good game, but I would much prefer to watch a game on Fox or CBS, or best of all, NBC.

I'm giving them a shot after the silliness of the past 6-8 years. All the stupid skits drove me away and over to NFLN. But now NFLN is pulling the same garbage (the super hero junk last week was idiotic). I don't mind a little joking around but if it isn't surrounded by quality football talk, I'm out.

lol why do people even pay attention to the pregame shows as though it mattered in the first place? they are stupid by definition.
Just filler crap. I've never paid that much attention to feel the need to say I hate them.

Until last week I hadn't watched them on Sunday mornings in years. And yeah - their overall product is poor when compared to the individual network presentations (MLBN, NFLN, NBA-TV, etc.) Other than the Sunday Morning "Outside The Lines", espen is a wasteland.
I will say - last week's Sunday Morning Countdown showed promise.

I don't typically watch pregame shows. But, when I do, its the NFL Network. End of story.

That's where I've been since 2008 when I switched to DirecTV because the local provider didn't carry NFLN. Most of the time it's background noise while I read the morning sports section (I'm old and the Dallas Morning News Sports section is still one of the best in the country) but NFLN does X's and O's better than anyone in that business. I just don't need skits like Mini-Mooch and guys dressed up like Captain America (last week's offering).
Give me football and give me what the guys in the field are thinking. I'm cool with that.

Maybe for the same reason that they post on message boards. Cause they like to talk about to sports, and think about sports, and watch sports, and hear sports analysis. Why are you on here? I'm mostly on here to waste time. But I also enjoy it. And with a good, quality broadcast team, it can be very good entertainment, and very informational.

its only ever been entertainment. You arent going to get any valid information from those shows ever.
Its intended to work that way. Its never changing. The show is for the mass public. They will never say anything any so called real fan thinks is valid.
as a kid I only watched for highlights in the first place. ITs been the same stupid crap since the 70s.

Face it. Some of us simply don't measure up when it comes to our less-than-adequate football knowledge compared to the far superior savants we find ourselves in the midst of. We are left to the table scraps of talking heads and media crickets whilst amusing others with our ignorance.

I like to hear people's opinions in general, it might be because I'm on the debate team at my school (nerdy, but being in student government makes up for it
)
That's why I watch a lot of those pre game shows and whatever, I like hearing opinions

Good for you. Never feel like you know it all. Always a little nugget here and there you can take with you that makes watching the game a little more enjoyable.

Only bought enough for blue and myself. But I have some Grain Belt under the counter if you're interested. South Dakota residents are proud of it.

God, it seems like every one of them is in competition to see how many people they can involve in the show. ESPN must have had six or seven people on their pregame show by the time I stopped watching. On Fox, which I also stopped watching, they kept having that numbnuts Frank Caliendo on. You're right. It just ended up being a clown show of morons trying to talk over each other. I'm an AFC guy anyway, so I have settled in on the CBS pregame show. I don't love it, but it's the least annoying and they spend the most time talking about the stuff that affects my team.
