Re: Woj: Dolan weighing Phil Jackson's future with the team (UPDATE: announcement coming in the morning?)

Three years ago I called for Dolan to hire Phil months before it actually happened.

Tomorrow I ask Dolan to fire Phil, Steve Mills, Hornacek, Rambis and other assistant coaches at the very least.

Expecting Dolan to fully clarify that Phil is here to stay.

Dolan resume In hiring gm's is god fuqin awful. You going to trust this man in bringing in someone else better? Bye bye youth movement and 1st rounders. I personally don't trust james fugin dolan when comes to making basketball decisions and now people on here who was trashing dolan just a few months on that oakley incident is now all of sudden siding with this man. Nothing Dolan does ever makes sense.

Ever.

I'd like to think he'll go the right direction but every rational bone in my body says we're truly **** right now.

Yep. This is not a positive development, despite Phil's missteps. It's about to down, and not in a good way.

Damn it. As rough as this offseason has been at times, I'm legitimately upset if we go back to being a Dolan-led organization. That is a an unquestionably worse direction than any mess/drama Phil has created.

All I wanted was 5 years of stability to say, "hey, look what happened, here's this place that we got to with patience and vision" Someone's vision. Anyone's vision. This owner needs to be bought out. Phil is an arrogant douche, but this team is in the best place it's been in 15 years. We control our future. How novel. Thanks Phil! It's been fun.

When's the last time where we didn't have a president or coach change for 5+ consecutive years?

Phil is gonna stay just watch.

I want the man out of here but everything Dolan has said has been consistent with him staying for his whole contract.

It is what it is.

Wtf man. If Phil gets fired a week after the draft I'm going to be pissed.

Listen up...there are scouts tied to Phil who usually want to do a good job. So firing phil creates a problem. I dont know what can be done but we are so close to free agency and the one thing we are stuck with is the Noah deal

Again..Dolan doesn't seem to have any brains in terms of when and how to make decisions, so what you get is Phil fired a few days after the draft and before free agency or Grunwald fired 2 days before the season starts in favor Steve Mills, who is then demoted 1 year later for Phil Jackson. Exactly.

Oh no...I hope we dont get a Allan Houston GM promotion

I would love if he does a house cleaning and actually hires someone competent for once in his miserable, rich life.

To be fair, it's apples and oranges. Isiah's eye for talent has never been a question. The guy was a very good drafter for the most part. The problem is he was short-sighted and he ruined our cap situation for years to come.

good drafter besides drafting renaldo balkman and mardy collins.

I'm all of sudden depressed with this news. I hope it's just a rumor. Dolan is the sole reason why we've been azz since 2000. Win now mode is just a disaster waiting to happen...... again.

Why does Dolan have to meddle with the Knicks? He's hands off with the Rangers and they've been very great in recent years?

Why does he taint the sport I care about?

Mills, president (in name only).

Dolan and his minions will be running the show again.
