I think LAC wins. I think their playoff experience will be the difference.

Then again, I might be trying to will the pick into existence.

I hope your right.

Cronins moves look a lot worse if we don’t get that pick this year.

Meh, I still think Hart and a future FRP is about what we should have expected for CJ.

If we get the pick this year, its a great trade.
If we end up with the MIL pick, its a neutral trade with the caveat that the necessity of moving CJ arguably makes it a good trade.

Clippers enter Fridays game as a 4 point favorite and one would think with Paul George back should win.

I'd be fascinated to see how Portland operates if the pick does not convey. It'd make any moves difficult unless they traded away their pick.

I agree. There should be no hindsight used when judging the merits of any trade.

The CJ trade was a good one. CJ is a good player - there's no questioning that. The question was his salary. He is on a huge contract. $33M next year, and $36M the year after.

The draft is just that - a lottery. Add in pick protections and it's even more of a lottery. You have to value the trade based on the expected value (economics theory), and in my view, the expected value was very positive.

On the other hand, the Norm and RoCo trade was absolutely horrendous.

Those LAC role players are almost all high effort, playoff tested dogs so I wont count them out but I am much less optimistic than earlier today on a LAC win. Ugh.

Norm and RoCo balling out and helping us secure the NO pick would be the biggest win of the entire PDX/LAC deal lol.

Norm and RoCo battling CJ to determine the future of their former team. Sorry CJ, but you know who I'm be rooting for tonight.

I turned the TV off at half time with the Pelicans leading by 10 and went back to look and now see
the Pelicans losing by 10 :D

This one hurts. The pure misfortune regarding the Clippers' best player (by an absolute mile) being unavailable the day of the game with Covid, stings.

It's amazing to see all those former Blazers playing tonight. Batum, Roco and Norm vs CJ and LNJ.

Portland deserves to be where they are after just giving up the draft picks to get guys that Cronin gave
away at the trade deadline.

One silver lining is now we no longer have the late lottery pick to go get Grant unless they are stupid
enough to give the #6 pick to go get Grant

2025 Bucks pick. Protected 1-4, if not conveyed, we get no pick.
