This is his first year shooting that, his second year he shot around 36% on more volume and that was his best shooting year outside this.
I just don't see him ever going above 40% to be called more than good on that volume.
In the case of Curry and Lillard around 50% of their shots are 3s, that's what allow them to drive when a defender bites. Trae hovers around 35% and 40%.
If i was on a opossing team, i take Trae taking logo 3s everyday over him runing a spanish PnR.
If you see Trae you will notice most of his 3 come from a shot clock expiring situation, a broken play, or an early shot in the transition
