They have Grant who imo is similar enough to Siakam.
Grant refused an extension and is looking for big money in the offseason. If you have to pay him north of $30M per, I'd rather have Siakam.

I don't really understand the crying about this. Do we really think Masai and company are content to be out of the playoffs next year?

I don't like it if Mikael Bridges is on the market. He is a better version of OG. This might lessen the trade package somewhat. Brooklyn should hold onto him - he is really good.
My galaxy brain says Knicks come in with a huge offer including Barrett and four first to create an all-time Villanova team

gonna be scenes when masai thinks to hold on to sign and trades in the offseason... lol this is such a **** mess. It was so goddamn obvious these moves needed to **** be made last offseason.

But they are good enough. Especially with some tweaks. We may not even be a lottery team this year when it's said and done. The Raptors needed to balance the roster and add depth. Poeltl is a big step towards balance. We'll have to wait for the other shoe to drop still though. People need to stop reacting to trades in a vacuum.

Teams like the Raps can’t be making trades like this. They aren’t good enough.

we'd need to go into the tax just to maintain the product we have now+re-sign Poeltl. I think a consolidation trade has to be coming.

We have 3 UFA's and we're probably a .500ish squad. That means we're an extended Siakam injury from the lotto next year

Yep. This is what I mean when I say I find this front office to be SO slow to react.
Trent, I understand keeping. But FVV should have been moved during his all-star campaign last year.

Who said they're going to maintain the entire roster. Obviously there are more moves to be made either now or at the draft.
