#12 -- Dereck Lively -- 17 games, 25.1 mpg, 8.6 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.5 bpg (72.2% FG%)
#14 -- Jordan Hawkins -- 21 games, 27.8 mpg, 12.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.8 apg (37.3% 3PT%)
#16 -- Keyonte George -- 20 games, 26.1 mpg, 10.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.0 apg (31.1% 3PT%)
#18 -- Jaime Jaquez -- 20 games, 26.7 mpg, 12.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.6 apg (39.3% 3PT%)
#19 -- Brandin Podziemski -- 14 games, 18.7 mpg, 7.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.2 apg (44.1% 3PT%)

They probably could've thrown darts at their big board blind-folded and ended up with 2 more productive picks than Black and Howard.

I'm "OKsh" with the Black pick thus far. I think he is doing well based on what we saw from him in summer league. His defense is at least NBA caliber.

I'll see them sliding harris into the starting lineup... but jett might get some solid 2nd unit run with harris in the SL and JI most likely out.

None of them would play on this team, except for maybe Jaime Jaquez. Now that injuries have hit us, we'll see what Jett can do.

Good question. I imagine Harris gets the start. I think the rotation gets shortened, we just don't have enough bigs.

Point guard: Black
Combo guard: Cole
Shooting guard: Harris
Swingman: Caleb
Small forward: Franz
Combo forward: Ingles
Power forward: Paolo
Combo big: Moe
Power center: Goga

In theory, so long a P+F+ anything that resembles an NBA PG is met we are still potentially a 500 ball club.....
The Anthonys' going to prove that theory against the hungriest team in the league.

Could've listed most rookies that were better than Suggs rookie year.

Indeed. If it wasn't for our other rookie producing such inspiring numbers and distracting us from Suggs, this board would have gotten the pitchforks out after seeing Suggs handles and shot attempts.

If Jett gets playing time, Suggs will lose his job.

i still like the guys we got, plus with the team we have all of those guys wouldn't be playing much we have(had) too much depth....i mean look at the minutes they're logging, i think it's moreso due to opportunity than anything else

I wouldve loved Lively or Hawkins over Jett. Wanted Hawkins specifically TBH. Lively I found a bit risky with the #11 pick but clearly i was wrong. Either guy wouldve been nice. Hawkins wouldve replaced Harris. Lively wouldve replaced Goga. I think the FO made a mistake taking Jett TBH, but hopefully i get proven wrong.

I hated the Jett pick. Hopefully, he will prove me wrong. It fell like at the time that it was a big reach.

Lively is eating off of Luka's greatness. He would not look all that great with us. Hawkins isn't even playing now that the Pelicans are healthy.

I think the biggest reason why Magic picked Jett over Gradey Dick or Keyonte George is because Jett Howard has a more around skills on offense. He is more than a shooter. But he has to make his name known in the league by starting to make 3s. He has given limited chance this season, but with the chance, he didn't take advantage of it as much as Caleb Houstan. Also, the goal and plan of Magic is much different than previous seasons, we are trying to Win and rookies usually won't get the nod over

Because it was- big reach.

I still can't understand decision to keep that pick.
