Yeah I think they'll have a rough season

I like the Tyus addition but starting Tyus, Beal, and Booker together is going to be tough against bigger teams… especially when your ‘PF’ is KD. It would do wonders for them if they could get a quality wing with some size.

The Suns always seem to be just a tinge uninterested or something, idk what it is. There never seems to be much joy or energy out there but maybe i'm just saying that because Book and KD are understated and laid back.

The problem is that everyone wants this now and they're hard to come by

I can't believe the Suns made that Beal trade.

It’s kind of a FU to playing any kind of defense.

Yeah his offense is too raw, this is where he needs to develop by far the most.

On defense he will develop well in NBA, not sure if he can develop his offense but it's a problem.

With his athletic tools and the access he has, it is almost unthinkable how bad he is at everything on offense.

KD with 6 points in 14 minutes. Continuing to debase himself since the Olympics.

Thought Dunn and Ighodaro both looked good in their debuts.

I liked how the offense looked much more threes. Ball was moving.

As expected our defense will be the deciding factor. Did not look even remotely ok today. Lakers got whatever they wanted. Way too many open looks in the paint.

Even though wouldn't fully solve this issue, it's clear Beal needs to come off the bench. Can start either Allen or Oneal

29 minutes
1-7 from the floor
0-2 from 3
hasn't attempted a FT
3 rebs
1 assist
3 blocks
5 turnovers
3 fouls
-28

guaranteed contract, and for the 2nd gameday in a row he's front and center on espn.com.

He's just not put it together, it's like he hasn't decided what he's going to focus on being as an offensive player. He needs to be catch and shoot or dribble drive. Does too many dribble in to shooting type shots and they all miss.

What does he have to put together?

Besides his athletic tools he is a bad basketball player. He can’t shoot, dribble, drive or finish. He has bad positioning, doesn’t play hard, and gets lost off ball. Also has horrific foot work for a guard.

No guarantee that he even starts on a good D2 basketball team. Right now it’s just a circus and I worry it’s gonna start weighing on him. Imo it’s gonna get bad bc he doesn’t belong in the NBA or in Gleague.

What has he ever demonstrated that indicates he can "put it together". It's pure make believe.

Bronny James might be the worst player in nba history. Lakers are a joke or a franchise if Bronny somehow finds minutes to play during the season

Hmm well I disagree here. I think there's an NBA player in there that could be close to Caruso defensively. He's far more impressive defensively than I expected.

But yes he's also terrible on offense. He can shoot really well in practice, better than most but simply hasn't been able to translate to game action. It's probably mental with him, I'm not sure how you translate an offense under this type of pressure. It's going to be interesting because I don't think he will develop confidence in G league either.

He's at least better offensively than Andre Roberson and MKG but those 2 couldnt' hang in the league with their offense and that was years ago. The clock is ticking on Bronny to produce some offensive ability during his rookie contract. Certainly not a player Lakers will expect anything from this season.

- His defense is really good.
- He's reportedly one of the best shooters in practice sessions.
- He's got enough handle ability to work on drives.

I think putting it together is what it's all about for him to be an NBA player. This is not easy, not trying to be flippant about how hard it is, it's definitely more likely he fails than succeeds.

Andre Roberson was 10 times the defender Bronny is and better on offense (not saying he was good but Bronny isn’t an NBA level player). Roberson’s career ended due to an injury which destroyed his athletic ability.

Idk, I tried to root for Bronny but he’s not my type of player. For someone with so little skill, he plays very nonchalant. If you aren’t good, at least hustle out there. I heard JJ compare him to Lou Dort…could anyone ever see Bronny competing at that level? That’s something you either have or you don’t. You just don’t turn into an elite competitor.
