That's 2 blatant games Billy has mis-coached into losses plus one where he even admitted the coaching staff hadn't gotten the team ready properly. A couple others that could be debated.

NBA coaches can't win games for you. But they sure can lose them.

As much as we big on not giving entilment minutes to Matas. I feel that should have the same for Patrick.

Playing Matas at the 4 gets you 3 things you want
1-Losses maybe
2-Minutes for Matas and presumably development
3-Motivation for Pwill

Pat is such a L.

Full on L.

As a pick. As a contract.

I am officially done rooting for him. Sunk Cost. Trade him if you want to win. Keep him if you want to tank.
Same, I’m sick of being disappointed in this dude for 4 years. Every time he shows some improvement he just goes back to where he started.

How much patience can AK/Billy still have in him? Aren’t they sick of him as well ? He’s 23, I highly doubt he can turn into the player we thought he can be at this point. Highly unlikely.

There was only 1 possible receiver, Lavine. And he was double teamed, because even a moron would know the ball is going to Lavine since no other Bull has been able to create for himself all game.

Vucevic is not even looking at the ball.
Lonzo is on the opposite side.
Patrick is on the opposite side, and why is he even in the game he's hasn't been able to hit a shot since January started.

The other big TO called in the 4th ended up with just THT going full iso for the entire possession and taking and missing a contested layup.

We would have been better off if no TOs were called by our coach.

Im sorry but as NBA players they should figure out a way to inbound the ball no matter what the play was.

Can’t blame it all on the coach here. When you see Giddey is in trouble and Zach doubled the other 3 players need to be aware and go get that ball especially since there were no more time outs.

Not a fan of THT at all but this was a good set. You get THT going downhill towards the basket with space. He just misses the shot.

Fun game for the most part, until you fast forward to the heroball ending coupled with BD's disasterous gamecalling. Nothing ever changes.

I’ve pretty much completely given up belief that he will become what he has the ability to become. I had hoped that with less of an offensive logjam he would step up naturally but he hasn’t and now is in a shooting slump as well.

For me the conversation with Pat shifts to whether he is a reasonably priced 3-D wing at the cost. He has to be able to shoot to justify that and hopefully it reverts to the norm. If it does, frustrating as he is, I am extremely comfortable with his contract.

He also still needs to be a 3.

I thought they played reasonably well for a shorthanded team missing its best on-ball defender and second option. I didn't think they'd be able to keep it close given how hot the Kings have been, but the game was a fun back and forth until the end.

Zach was incredible until the end where he played hero ball and missed all his layups. The refs weren't whistling anything down the stretch (only 2 FTs for DeMar!?), so they probably should've relied more on jumpshots than trying to finish in traffic.

That last inbound play was hilarious but I was confused to why we even called a timeout. There was plenty of time to get a quick shot to try to tie the game, and it's not like Billy was ever all that good at drawing an ATO play. We just got a stop, down 3, and had the ball exactly where you want it; the TO just allowed the Kings to double and deny Zach the ball (only the Bulls!).

Selfishly I need Ayo back. Since he went out I’ve largely lost interest. I think I’ve only seen 1 of the last 6 games. Makes me feel like some kind of dreadful Heat fan or something.

He will never be a 3 for Billy. He plays 3 guards at all times. Giddey here will always be the 3.

I will say that I loved those drives where Giddey just took the ball the length of the court for lay-ups. Ayo does it, and I love that.

I like the idea of building around Ayo/Matas/JSmith long term, as role players. I used to think PWill fit their too, but he just sucks.

Of course, we'd need 2 stars (ironically, a guy like Lavine could be one of them, but he's a bit old for these guys). I think Coby/Giddy would be awesome bench pieces, but not starters.

Ayo is my current favorite Bull-let's hope he's back soon
