Watching Roy draw the defense to the three point line and then feed Duncan on the inside for the easy shot makes me think just how much better this team will be with Oden.

I officially think Byron Scott rocks, having Roy in the game this late...

Ray Allen is hitting EVERYTHING though!

You've got to be kidding me! They called that flop as an offensive foul? This is the ALL STAR GAME for crying out loud

I wanted to see the west win of course but it was nice to see Roy play such a good game. It was nice to see Roy step up his game amongst other all-stars especially considering that many believed that Roy should not have made the game to begin with.

We certainly can't complain about Roy's showing: 18/9/5/1 steal/1 block/0 turnovers.

Well, I suppose we could--the West probably would have won if they hadn't taken the ball completely out of his hands for about seven minutes there. It was only when he and Paul were both getting touches that the West came back.

Seeing Roy bring his game tonight at the All Star game was a treat.

Roy as the leading scorer and second highest rebounding number for the west!

(that's about as fraudulently as I can tell the truth)

Yeap, when it was Paul, Nash, and Roy, Roy didn't get a touch thanks to Nash who had him open a couple of times. I hate Nash now and am glad he was benched at the end.

Well, I'm so glad B-Roy gave the NBA a taste of what he's all about. Props to Byron Scott for leaving him out there at the end of the game. Brandon got to show off his clutchness too, hitting that 3 :)

The west played their best with Chris Paul and Brandon Roy in the backcourt. No doubt about it. I'm still amazed that he got as much playing time as he did. He looked even better in this game than in the rookie/soph game, which is pretty awesome :)

Edit: B-Roy played over 28 minutes, the most of any player in the west. Come to think of it, Kobe being out helped him in the playing time department. I think the big reason he played so much is because without Kobe, he was the only shooting guard the west had. Edit #2: I'm not counting AI as a shooting guard. Even though he plays as one a lot, he's too undersized to count :P

Roy shot 80%. His only two missed were the corner three and the monster dunk.

Kudos to Scott for letting Roy play 29 minutes. That back court of Roy and Paul just made me drool.

Things I noticed at the All-Star game.

*Roy & Chris worked well together.
*Yao was on drugs.
*Dirk thinks hes a SG & takes wild shots.
*James is a monster.
*Howard is scary.
*Melo is selfish.
*Iverson wasnt selfish.
*Ray is still probably the best shooter in the NBA.
*Wallace proved why he shouldnt be a All-Star.
*Kidd can still put on a show.

Definitely. Scott went with what worked and luckily, it involved Roy. Roy really did all he could do considering the amount of touches he got and I was really impressed with how cool, calm, and collected he played the entire game. Fans from GS and Utah can make their claims that Baron or Deron should have made it over Roy, but they couldn't have played with more heart than Roy did tonight in a million years.

Yao looked completely uninterested in playing tonight.
