Well, you blew one chance to get HCA. I think you showed tonight that you're capable of beating the Lakers with no rest. Hopefully the team doesn't take too big a hit mentally which I can't see happening to the Spurs. Ginobili needs to be more under control. A huge to late and an awful 3 going for the win.

I don't mind Manu having a bad shooting game, but a bad decision making game annoys me greatly. Stupid turnovers and bad shot selection basically gift wraps the game for the opponents.
I hope that we do not play so much small ball in Game 2. I think we are a much better team when Duncan and KT are on the court, and of late Oberto has been playing especially well. I thought he had a really good start to the game. I also thought Horry defended Odom rather well. I don't understand why we played so much small ball, tonight. Was Pop trying to rest the bigs?

But you guys arent taking into account.
When phil jackson wins game 1 of ANY play off series he is
40-0 in that series. that means that they will win the series. Unless somehow out of all 40-0 series you guys will be the first. Which I doubt.
God i CANT STAND to see the lakers in the finals. So sickening.

From what I've seen, the team that just played usually has an advantage over a team that had a layoff. The Lakers were clearly out of sync in the first half and guys like Fisher and Odom were out of rhythm all game. One could argue that maybe fatigue was a factor for the Spurs in the second half but it's not like they played last night. A one day rest should be enough for any team.

If we get a lead in game 2 and finish them off, we'll be 1-1 going home... I like our chances in that situation.
This Lakers team has no three-peating Shaq, and it's not a Bulls team with Jordan either. That's what Phil had the last 40 times he was up 1-0.
Now, a 2-0 lead, we came back against the Hornets. I wouldn't want that one with the Lakers.

Well all 40 of those series were with different teams than he was coaching tonight. The Spurs still have a chance to take home court advantage.

Factually incorrect.. Phil has won 2 series this year with the same team he was coaching tonight after winning game 1.

Here you go..
Best-case Lakers scenario
The Lakers play like they're rested and ready. The Spurs look tired and fatigued. Game 1 is a blowout, and the Lakers have this stat on their side: Phil Jackson is 40-0 in series in which his teams win Game 1.

Hate to tell you but that mean nothing...
It is stupid to think what happens in the past( with other teams) has any impact on this series.

tough lost, we'll be well rested at least for the next one. if we sustained the same energy 1st-3rd this game would have been ours.
