Did you actually watch the game? The Jazz are the best defensive team in the NBA, no team is harder to score inside. I don't think I counted a dunk by WB/George/Melo in the entire game.

Nope I didnt, which is why I didnt say anything like "oh thats bs, or oh thats rigged". Just went off what others in this thread and twitter were saying

Oh yeah and Simmons is under .250 from 3ft out in the playoffs and hasn't made a 3 in the season or playoffs. PG13 and Brewer played great perimeter D on him.

This really isn't a great arguement to make after a night where Mitchell went 0-7 from three. Everyone knows what Simmons game is, Mitchell is supposed to be a scorer.

I think we all get heated when our team is struggling and calls are not going in your favor. I personally don't there were many terrible calls in the 4th, I feel Mitchell simply took over at the end of the 3rd with 7pts in the final minute of the 3rd, in a 7-2 run that cut a 10 pt lead in half, and he simply brought it the 4th quarter. Mitchell outscored OKC 20-18 the final 13 minutes of the game. They don't call him 4th quarter Don for nothing :-).

And score he did.

Seriously. What is with the insecure Simmons fans? Why do they even care? They have an amazing player who is phenomenal and will win rookie of the year, but they have to randomly start throwing shade. It's so weird.

You know that Donovan covered PG alot, and he struggled, but ofcourse Mitchell wont get credit for that from Sixers fans. Mitchell took a TON of tough shots that Simmons wouldn't even dare shoot. Mitchell has averaged 8 rebounds this series, he is doing what he is being asked to do, score and playing great defense. He hasn't gotten a lot of assists, but he's a SG in a motion offense, it's not easy to get BIG assist numbers, just look at Rubio's assists numbers, big drop this season.

Not really, I've been actually saying Simmons should get ROY after the way he closed out the season.

If Jazz fans were going onto the Sixers-Heat series thread and saying this then I’d agree. This is simply responding to a lame pro-Simmons troll on what is a non-Simmons thread. Why should Simmons even be mentioned on a OKC-UTA thread. Nothing more than baiting & feeding.

If they put Steven Adams on Game of Zones, he can do his own voice.

Those refs were complete garbage, but when you go 0-14 in the 4Q you can't expect to win

Hope I never have to see the Zilinksi/Mauer combo again this post season.

The Jazz are one of the most disciplined teams in the league at playing defense without fouling, though, while the Thunder are, uh, not.

I never understand fans who point to FT discrepancy as proof of something. It's like it never occurred to them that one team might be more prone to fouling than the other, especially if they are getting outplayed. In fact any time a team is getting outplayed and start fallig behind it's the natural response to ratchet up the physicality, which naturally leads to more fouls being committed.

That's part of Jazz's defensive philosophy. Similar to the Spurs they teach their players to not foul(exception for Euro fouls). It is a double edged sword since it sometimes looks like they don't play physical enough on D.

For the second half of the season his 3 ball has been going in a fair amount. The old adage saying Rubio can't shoot is outdated.

Rubio with 22/7/9, including 5-8 from 3. A day after Rondo hits a game clinching 3.

I like the Jazz more, but I would love if a team not named GS or Houston came out of the West, and I think OKC has a better chance of upsetting them than the Jazz. So I'm undecided on who to root for.

But I do just want a great series at the end of the day. Hoping this goes 7.

Pardon me sir, but actually the Celtics are the best defensive team in the nba, however the Jazz are pretty good too.

You do win in the opp pts per 100 pos stat but we were ranked about average defensively when Gobert came back from injury. Now the difference between us and you is less than 0.1 point per 100 possessions.

Sure, it would be more appropriate to say the Jazz are the best defensive team when Gobert is healthy.

You can argue and stuff, but when the Stifle Tower is on the court, it's not close.
