Is the ben simmons pipedream still alive?

I would normally say maybe if the Rockets prefer Edwards to Simmons. However, that trade is currently impossible unless were willing to move Dlo. As much as I would be, I guarantee the team is not.

We just don’t have the salary that can be currently moved to match Simmons contract. Unless they wait until players like Beasley, Juancho, etc can be moved.

Culver and Edwards already like 16, 17 mil....Rubio can be traded right. Philly needs a defensive PG nxt to harden if they get him.

Harden's beard will keep him warm here. But I doubt the strip club quality will.

We need defenders, I don't think trading Edwards or Culver is a good idea. But maybe we can trade Beasely.

Beasley and Okogie + 2 UFRP for Pascal Siakam

Is it crazy I’d be hesitant to trade both Edwards and Culver. I think I’d move Edwards and other assets for Simmons, but Culver is my guy.

I don’t think defense is the reason not to make a move though. Simmons is a top 5 defender in the NBA and may win defensive POY this year.

Feel like Spicy P would be a better fit and cost less

Dlo for Randle and DSJ or Ntilikina

Pretty easy deal for us to make. Idk about the Knicks anymore. If it was at begining of the season maybe...

If KAT doesn't like it because of the banana crew friendship or whatever, well maybe is time to trade him too. I see two teams where i would like to have a return for him.

Hawks:
Capela, Redish, John Collins +

Suns:
Ayton, Cam, Smith +

Here is The Godfather offer for Towns...

Suns: Paul + Ayton + J. Smith + 2021 1st (unprotected)
FOR
Towns
Russell
Paschall

Warriors: Thompson + Wiseman + Paschall + 2021 Wolves 1st + 2021 1st (protected 21-30) + 2022&2023 1st (swap rights) + Future 1st (after Memphis gets theirs)
FOR
Paul
Ayton
Nowell

Wolves: Towns + Russell + Nowell
FOR
Wiseman
J. Smith
Thompson (I like him better than entertaining Wiggins back on roster around current youth. Klay helps the tank more (being injured), champion vet pedigree mentor for young wings, retains development minutes for Culver, Edwards and Okogie (vs. Wiggins needing PT) and has far better chance being worth something in year or two).
2021 Wolves 1st (returned)
2021 Suns 1st (unprotected)
2021 Warriors 1st (protected 21-30)
2022&2023 Warriors 1st Swap (unprotected)
Future Warriors 1st

Wiseman | Reid
J. Smith | Hernangomez | Vanderbilt
Edwards | Okogie | Layman
Beasley | Edwards | Culver | Okogie
Rubio | Culver

Trade deadline Beasley available for best 2022 1st, as Rubio stays to mentor the youth. 2021 Wolves hope for lotto luck.

Phoenix won't take that offer. Paul is vital for the development of their young players in Bridges and Booker, whilst Ayton is severely underrated as his defense has picked up considerably over the last year.

If wolves trade towns they need the pick the warriors own returned. Wolves should not settle for Ayton (who would not even be top 5 in a 2018 redraft)and need to get Evan Mobley as their center of the future instead.

I think at some point you have to settle the team, less trades, more continuity and develop chemistry.

I hope Rosas realises this..

Wizards crumbling early now too? Now watch Wolves swoop in for a giant sideways move to add yet another guard to this magic.

Well as it turns out, I forgot they can’t trade their 2021 1st, so take that out.

Maybe they Suns would. Maybe they wouldn’t. But one can also paint the picture the Paul experiment going lukewarm and when franchise player Booker hears his friends are on the trade block — steps in with acquisition demands. One can also see they get a age fitting core around their superstar Booker. Paul isn’t getting any younger.

Towns
C. Johnson or Paschall
Bridges
Booker
Russell

With a deep bench, is a very sexy 25 and younger core roster.

I don't disagree with some of the takes here regarding trades. But, before we send Kat and DLo packing, that trade should wait until offseason.

The fact is,until the culture changes, it won't matter who we bring in and there are two people responsible for this culture...Glen Taylor and KAT.
Now Kat seems a little different this year, but time will tell. The culture in order to win in MN is going to have to be Quinn Snyder like, it's going to be tough, gritty and a fighter mentality with a chip on your shoulder. That is what Thibs and Butler tried to bring...didn't work. You want to talk players? Ok, find me a PG like Marcus Smart/l, G/F like Butler, Green, Harrel and a big man like Steven adams. Those aren't the ideal team, but that represents the philosophy you will need to win in MN. I had hoped Edwards would have a little of that dog in him....just not seeing it yet.

Blow it up trades:

Trade 1: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y8ztur7d

And trade 2:
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y852dpd2

After

Smart, Rubio
Beasley, Okoge
Brown, Nesmith, McDaniels
Simmons, Vanderbilt, Layman and Juancho
Tucker, Bradley, Naz

I would then look to potentially package Beasley with Layman or Juancho for a pick or a big.

Don’t care if he leaves after two seasons, just go for it.

I'd love to take a swing at Marvin Bagley and hope his injury history is behind him while coming at a discount value wise.

Is he finesse player or can he provide some physical toughness?

More finesse...his ceiling to me would be Myles Turner.
