Exactly.
1. Who knows if we would've even picked Kessler if we kept that pick.
2. Jakob is more productive than Kessler right now and Koloko might be more productive in the future.
3. Those picks are not great.
Hustling backward he's right but really he's wrong. At this point tWo can continue, if we got Durant it could not.
Agree. Jakob is probably better right now, and Koloko looks a lot more mobile than Kessler, so if Koloko continues to develop, he easily could be more productive than Kessler in the future. Kessler is just getting the benefit of minutes and collecting easy numbers around the basket. I think in a playoff series, he easily gets played off the floor because he is not as mobile.
I just hope the plan is not to try and play themselves back into the playoffs this year. Get that pick, in a great draft, and let next year's in a weak draft go.
lol Koloko is way behind Kessler now and won't easily be ahead of him, it's still a long shot. Koloko in extended minutes barely does anything so it isn't about opportunity. The lane intimidation is real though, he provides that and I'm sure that's why he has some favourable +/- games

Yeah, it's the MLSE of old. We look at things through a sporting lens, but the owners have seats to fill and tv ads to sell. Unless things got real bad, they'd be incentivised to stick to the status quo and win-out as long as they're still making bank.
Yeah I get it. Just can’t believe I bought that winning over everything bull from Masai.
Play-in is still winning.

There are people who argue with you when you clown Masai. Literally afraid to question this guy. This thread may as well get locked. Enjoy your Wizards.

I havent seen their financials in a long time but its the TV money and now with Bell/Rogers its the advertising revenues. Back then, I was surprised at the TV money vs ticket/arena revenues. I can only imagine how much they're raking in these days. For those that doubt, just consider some of these recent independent online creators who are making a lot of money off advertising.

It's ok guys. We'll make the play-in this year, lose the play-in, win the lotto, get Wemby, and win dinosaur championship in 24-25. I had some ayahuasca last night, and saw the future.

We have two more hours. This feels like the Tampa year where we were all waiting for the Lowry trade at the deadline and it never happened.

Re: Tank World Order (10.0) The Empire Strikes Back
For me personally, they picked a direction. Masai says he wants to see what this team does in a full season before he can decide who stays and who goes. He improved this year’s roster, ruining our draft position. So at this point, I gotta shift the way I view the team as a fan. No point in looking at the lottery standings (or the standings in general). We’re going to be a play in team probably. So just gotta watch the growth of our players and see where it takes us. A shame because we had a legit shot at getting a difference maker in this year’s draft. Oh well.

Can only hope for a bit of lotto luck and there'll still be decent players in the teens. I know we were hoping for Wemby or Scoot but that was always a long-shot especially considering how soft this schedule is to close out the year. I think we all know this team played under its head big-time.
And they could always choose to blow it up in the summer or make a move at the draft.

Nah I don’t think it was a long shot (getting a top 4 pick). Move one of Gary or Fred and we’re gonna struggle because we lose whatever little shooting we had. We had a 19 percent shot at getting pick 1 or 2 at 6 and I strongly believe we could have held onto 6. I would have been fine moving up tp even 3 or 4 and added Miller or Thompson, etc. It wasn’t a Scoot/Wemby or bust for me. We benefited from some fake wins too which hurt the tank. But it is what it is at this point.

You're probably right. Thanks. I will focus all my tank energy towards the Vancouver Canucks for the time being.
