Re: The Lebron Thread
James is now at 26.9 on 69% TS at home on the season, in 25 games.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

So therealbig3, is Wade's superb play since he's worked his way into shape what happens when he stops allowing others (the RealGM board) to blame LeBron for not "meshing" teammates and, you know, Wade actually works on his own game?
It was unreal how much hate LeBron got last year and even for parts of this year when Wade struggled because he couldn't shoot or slash, for whatever reason. You even had people saying LeBron made teammates "worse", or that he "ruined careers".
Even I was a little skeptical of LeBron earlier this year, but it's pretty obvious that the gripes people have had of Miami's offense since LeBron signed is more of an indictment of Wade not developing his off-ball game as much as he should have than it is of LeBron's ability to quarterback an offense. Now that Wade's jumper is looking good, and he looks more explosive than he has since 2011, and he's become a pretty valuable off-ball player, the Heat offense is really clicking on all cylinders.
I'd have to agree with SideshowBob that 2013 LeBron MAY be the GOAT peak if he keeps it up for the rest of the year and the playoffs. He's unreal right now.

Combination of Wade + James without Bosh in the last 5 games has put up an ORTG of 141.9 in 53.9 minutes.

Since Barkley called out Wade in the Knicks blowout win vs. Miami, Wade's production nearly matches his '10 season (adjusted for '13, it's about 1.11 pt/poss on 35% usg vs. his 1.14 on 30% usg during his current '13 stretch). I give Wade all the credit for that.
Which is why I never blame another player for their own failure to produce. If you can't work on your craft to became a better player (these are basketball players for a living; they're supposed to be refining their game daily) then I'll direct the blame in your direction. I didn't blame Wade for LeBron playing like trash in the 2011 Finals.
The only other person who gets the blame is the head coach, whose primary job is to get his team to work together on the court. But RealGM's "one man ortg/SRS scapegoat" mentality is as tried as the rings one.

There's an article on espn.com about how we should get used to this lebron as this is "prime lebron". Is this more than just a streak and maybe this is really what LeBron's prime does and will look like?

Obviously this crazy FG% won't last, but I can see him finishing the season at 55%.

That's still actually lower than his per in '09 and '10. I believe someone explained to me that it's due to his usage rate being lower than in those two years as well as blocks and steals being slightly lower as well.

Re: The Lebron Thread
As J.E. hasn't updated his site in quite some time (APBRmetrics guys think he's been picked up), the only frequently updated +/- stat we've got right now is dsmok1's ASPM.
http://godismyjudgeok.com/DStats/aspm-and-vorp/2013-aspm/
Obviously not what exactly what we want to look at in a +/- stat, but its the only thing out there that would work along those lines right now.

He def will if he takes the rest of the regular season as seriously as the last month or two. All his stats seem to always go up as the season progresses unlike other players

This isnt related to Lebron (although we all know he is the best player on the planet and he is playing at unprecedented levels for any basketball player ever), but im glad to see Wade was playing like his old self the other night against the Lakers. He was actually my MVP of the game.
Looked as athletic, agile and strong as ever, very active on both sides of the floor and penetrated the Lakers defense like a knife (which is still a big mess, anyway). 16 points in the 4th quarter and a couple of key steals?
Pretty good game if you ask me.

The most underrated aspect of the 2012 postseason run for Miami was in game 4 I believe when wade was stinkin it up in the first half Lebron is single handidly through some dart passes to wade to take him outta that funk. Wade was rejuvenated and went n to score 40 in the next game I think. They won because Lebron was god but wade also showed up when he needed hm the most. Back to your posts. Wade is playing like the way he played in 2011 again. Not as athletic as he used to be but has improved his off ball play immensely and mental aspect also instead of acting like a chipmunk like he did last season.

Wade's been amazing. His energy on both ends of the floor is really a huge boost to our team.

Agreed, it was pretty obvious to Miami fans watching his game earlier in the season that he was hindered by the injuries. He wasn't able to get by his defenders or get where he wanted on the court. Since the New Year he's been averaging 22 points (16 FGA), 5.5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 50.5 FG% in 35 MPG.

Lebron has looked really, really good in the post lately. Has a nice array of shots that he's comfortable with.
