WSOF seems like the org that's going to snatch up the old UFC guys while Bellator seems content with their model. It would be wise for most journalists to cozy up to Sefo as UFC continues its roster purge.

Ariel is ranting for 20 minutes about how Dana smarted off to him at the presser and scrum. You can tell he's been dwelling on it.

Dana WAS being a little bitch during the presser. Ariel wasn't fishing for a reaction... it was the question on everyone's mind!
Hell, Dana didn't even need to be there. Nick needed to explain himself before they answered other questions... I know that's why I tuned in, to see if he'd make it and to get the true story on the missed appointment.

Agreed. Dana was douchily singling out Ariel all weekend. Its funny though listening to Ariel rationalize it. Dana is his hero, and he's saying how he wasn't trying to insult him, they agreed all along, its water under the bridge, etc.

I feel for dudes like Ariel and Sherwood who have to kiss Dana's ass and pretend to enjoy it because of UFC's stranglehold over the sport. Then, when they have the nerve to stand up to him...

Sherwood deserves whatever he gets, especially after he gave away Nick's gameplan to GSP this weekend.

Re: Non-threadworthy MMA Rumors/Quotes/Tweets, etc.
I like Sherwood as far as I know. I absolutely cannot handle the Greg (?) Savage guy though. I used to listen to Jordan Breen on occasion before making fight picks. Now those two co-host a show and it ruined everything for me. He literally knows nothing about mma and just piggybacks whatever Breen says and speaks condescendingly of fighters. Oh, and I haven't seen him but you can tell he's super fat because his neck fat pushes against his vocal cords and give him a weird voice. So his annoying voice and the image of a fat dude talking down to fighters just rubs me the wrong way enough that I don't listen to sherdog anymore.
That, and the Mauro podcast being canceled decreased my mmapodcast listening a ton. I do the mmahour and that's it.

Jeez, they're looking to pare down the stable, you give them an out where they can cut you win / lose?

Another guy, jeez. Riki Fukuda tested positive for elevated levels of a bunch of stuff I can't be arsed to spell properly since I can't pronounce them anyway. Was released earlier in the week and this is probably why.

And sadly, Paulo Filho suffered another panic attack. He's fighting for WSOF this weekend, so tune in for the high probability of him sparring with ghosts. If he's even able to make it.

I'm not sure that dude should be living on his own, much less fighting. I've heard a few people say they were excited for him to come back. I don't get it.

His brain is fried. I wonder if they check for mental illness when clearing a fighter? But it's in Brazil, so...

Re: Non-threadworthy MMA Rumors/Quotes/Tweets, etc.
Bloodyelbow guy who is interviewing these healthcare professionals interviewed an endicronologist about Fallon Fox.
Notes: Said she probably has some advantages that the surgery and hormone replacement can't fix due to growing up as a man and now having male skeletal structure, and even in terms of having more endurance and strength and the ability to build muscle faster than female opponents. Also said she will have higher bone density and 'higher mass skeletons', it would take 15 years for her bone density to decrease. Her frame and body mass and shape are developed and are permanent. She may see a decrease in muscle mass but her potential for building it cannot be taken away from her, as she received the surgery several years after becoming a fully developed male adult. She is also more aggressive due to the testosterone effects on her brain and 'male imprinting' during development (Rogan was drunkenly rambling about this, who knew he'd be onto something?).
This seals the deal for me. I don't like it. The only medical profession who has come out so far in favor of her fighting females has been the transgender doctor who performs these procedures! Either Fallon Fox is buying into that propoganda way too much, or else she is a coward. Wanting to fight is one thing, not even wanting to tell your opponent you have male advantages is quite another imo. And she has the nerve to call out other women fighters as scared or cowards or whatever?

Agree completely.
Very typical of the Gay Mafia though to slip one of their own into OUR ranks by lying about it and then claiming prejudice [/green]

Fox aside, this is all amazing stuff. The skeleton stuff and bone density is graspable, but still able to build mass and testost on the brain and male imprinting...all super interesting. Gotta look into this.
BTW, it seems like the editor of Popular Science was on Rogan yesterday. Please God, rock Rogan's world(view). The guy seems to be pretty critical too. Go after him, especially about the evolution stuff (aliens and ancient civilizations, whatever...).
