Not if he only signs for two years and then signs an "Early Bird Extension" or whatever it's called for the max-max.

He could be great but he could be terrance williams. Until he gets a jumper and a higher bball iq he might suck or maybe westbrook idk but pretend hes not there til he shows he can play.

Oh look...it's that bullsh*t BBIQ thing. He does not have a low BBIQ.

Hes a much harder worker then Christie and Iggy. If Iggy had Shumps work ethic, he wouldnt be an underachiever.

Me too :(

In a perfect world, we trade Amare for Howard and Melo for CP3.

Eh? In a perfect world we trade Billups, Turiaf, and fillers (minus Shump and Fields) for Paul. I don't want him to go, but I have a feeling he will be (same feeling I had all last year with Gallo)...if he is on the team when we get Paul I will be buying his jersey.

I should've really said, in my perfect world. I really never wanted Melo or Amare. It's hard to suddenly like them just cause they're on my team when I've never liked them since they've been in the league.

Reread the post. I said he could be great but not all of them put it together. U act like hes a cant miss number 1 pick from st johns for 3 years and u know his game. Hes clearly a high risk high reward.

Worst case scenario he is a shut down wing defender, who can handle the ball a little, and just be an athletic freak. He's low risk high reward --if he gets a consistent jumper, which he probably will be able to, then he'll reach it (or get close). He doesn't have a low BBIQ either. I'm not saying he'll be an all star, but he will be a very good role player.

I'm not on record for either. Iggy is a great player -- LeBron lite IMO and one of the most talented overall players in the league...so I don't think he'll reach that level. However, like I said above, he will be a very good role player.

Put me on record as saying he will be better than Iggy. If the Knicks find a way to keep him with the big three, I believe he will not only make them a big four like Boston but be a better Rondo for our big three when the all go over 30 and begin to decline> he can prolong Paul's career.

Worst case, I think Shumpert is Tony Allen (a little better offensively, not as good defensively).
