I think this deal marinates until NBA sells the Hornets this week/next (they have 1 buyer in final stages of purchase) then maybe we can get Kaman out of there and sent to GSW. I think Ariza is a possibility if we do end up sending Anderson.

He also won't be playing SG here (it'll definitely be PG... his more natural position, so he isn't undersized at the 2), and he won't have to worry about competing with Curry for handling the ball in the back-court and worrying about when he can create for others and himself

Not true. Its a known fact that the warriors are about 6 points worse per 100 possessions when monta is on the court. He is a candidate for worst defender in the league, and the only reason he gets steals is because he makes stupid gambles which result in points for the other team.

Dont get me wrong, I think we should trade for Monta because it would help us keep Dwight, but he is by no means a dominant player. He could quite possibly have the carmelo affect on our franchise.

I'm not even going to think about it honestly. I would rather be pleasantly surprised than pissed off.

I do not think it is about that. remember that MBA paper you posted?

stretch 4s thrives off of our system. Ilyasova for example would post at least 17-18 per in magic. even if our rook could post 13 and that would be enough to contend.

Ellis is exactly what we need, this is true. I'm not sure that Dwight increases the value of a stretch 4 to the point we are seeing with Anderson but I see where you are coming from. Ellis would be a super charged '08 Hedo or '10 Carter, much like Anderson is a super charged '09 Lewis. Hypothetically can we really say what is more important? Is a super charged '08 Hedo or '10 Carter really better than a super charged '09 Lewis + Nelson/Redick? Ugh. If we get Ellis without giving up Anderson my face will split open from smiling. If we give up Anderson/Redick/Nelson for Ellis I will cautiously cheer because I think it may just improve our chances at keeping Dwight, but I do not think it helps us competitively this year, unless we bring in Lee too.

I can't take it. At this point, I'm going to go mess around on the 360 for a couple of hours, and pretend that when I check back after Midnight (in other words, March 1) we'll have Ellis in a trade that doesn't gut us.

If Otis gets Ellis (whether or not it's with Lee), and Dwight stays... do we make a statue of Otis?

Hmmm what would we do with Nelson than lol

Don't think he's piggybacking because he put out a lengthy article shortly after the nearly simultaneous Rudolph/Broussard tweets. He had to have talked to his sources before Rudolph tweeted it in order to prepare the article. I think the source talked to both and requested them to wait until 9pm to post it, so there wouldn't be any favoritism. It's like the embargo companies set for tech blogs when they're about to post a review of an unreleased product.

If they do make a trade, I bet it happens AFTER the Thunder game. Ryno will be needed in that game. Hopefully, he has a great game.

I'm not a big fan of Monta Ellis. I think he'd average around 15 ppg or so in our offense. Don't want to trade Anderson for him, UNLESS Dwight promised to not opt out.

I hope im wrong, but I don't think this will be a trade that will go down in the next few days. I feel like this will drag out till the 15th, especially if it is going to be a multiple team trade.

not a single point i do not agree here. i just think we have to do better than lee, nor we need his skill set. we need an offensive rebounding stud who hits open shots and never misses defensive assignments.
