Not ideal, but cheaply obtainable, provides similar production to Jameer, and maintains flexibility.

Yep. I don't understand it. The guy is a backup caliber 2 guard.

I'm guilty of this same train of thought in the past too. I said he hasn't improved since his rookie season. But honestly, I was just rapping off the tip of my tongue. Lee is not without weakness, but he's not as bad as you think either. It took a little more looking into, but I've become optimistic that he could certainly be a good starting SG on a championship squad. His stock kind of got derailed when he got stuck playing behind Kevin Martin but when given the minutes and opportunity, you'd be hardpressed to call him bad. His defense is stellar, he shoots 40% from 3, but is not a chucker. He scores efficiently and doesn't demand the ball in order to put up points. I think a break out for him is on the horizon if he gets a real shot to start. One thing I wish he would do more is drive to the basket and draw fouls but he does a lot of little things that you love and his defense can change the momentum of the game.

He's not a Big 3 type franchise player by any means, but he would easily be a solid core piece as a starting 2 guard. When he was with us, we had our best defensive team during our recent playoff run. I want to get back to that.

I'd take him over Jrich and Redick.

If the Rockets do all that to get Howard, I will cheer for them!

The Rockets really need to get Denver involved in the Howard trade as their exception for Nene fits Turkoglu perfectly. The Nuggets don't have cap room anyway and Hedo alone wouldn't push them into the lux tax, so a ton of cash and a pick might get it done.

I posted a trade earlier that would have allowed them to keep Kevin Martin to pair with Howard by trading just Scola (to a third team with expirings going to Orlando), prospects, and picks in the Dwight trade.

I agree. Not sure how receptive Houston is to waiting around without a trade commitment from the Magic though, they'll lose out on any other free agents left. I'm not sure how common it is to agree to a trade 3 weeks before the pieces can be moved.

This is the first trade rumor (to the rockets) that has included Hedo and Duhon fwiw.

You're right. As I mentioned in another post, I was getting a bit off topic here as neither my argument against nor others' argument for Collison matter as Orlando lacked a cheap and quality backup C to offer. This was simply a rant which carried over from the Ramon Sessions chatter the other day. Both Sessions and Collison should be backups. The only difference between them and Jameer is age.

They could deal all the players now except Donatas, then in 1 month Magic make a single deal getting Donatas for future considerations, cash or another thing like this.

Wow. This is big. The rumors claims that this would be for the sake of taking on additional contracts. Could we ditch both Turk and JRich in this deal? Wow!

I would want to raid the Rockets, after they fleeced us on the McGrady trade,
Smart / Micic / D. Wright
Wiggins / Exum / J. Adams
Parker / K. Anderson / Mcdermott
Randle / Vonleh / Stokes
Embiid / Nurkic/ Tavares

That would be amazing to send HOU JRIch and Hedo with Howard but it is imperative that we get back Lamb & White & Donatas (somehow), and even Parsons along with picks. We need quality youth at all positions. I wonder if we get back KMart, do we move him for more draft picks or keep him for his scoring? He does get to the FT line.
