While only playing for 2 franchises, I can't imagine anyone has actually worn more uniforms than Lebron. That 2010 season alone the Cavs wore like 126 different jerseys including throwbacks, it was insane. Then of course different Christmas jerseys through the years given he is a fixture on that day. Id like to know if anyone has an actual number of jerseys he has worn for a game, it has to be north of 40 I would say. I'm not exaggerating whatsoever.

I have another question which may be stupid, but does anyone know if players wear a brand new jersey each game or do they keep a jersey for an entire season and wash them themselves?

The team equipment manager supplies the jerseys and washes them after games. Players do not do their own laundry (I believe Red Auerbach started this for his Celtics in the late 60s). If players give away their jersey after a game, they are charged for it.

I wouldn't be rocking old jerseys if I was an NBA player.

so is LeBron a consensus top 5 for most people now? Insidehoops ran a survey this week, and LeBron was voted the third best player of all time now. Has there been any kind of top 10 voting for RealGM since the 2016 finals ended ?

Personally, I have him at 3 already, but I don't think he's a consensus top 5 player yet. Consensus top 10 definitely, but there are definitely a good number of people out there who think he hasn't accomplished enough yet to be ranked ahead of Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Russell, Duncan, Shaq, and Kobe. Not enough ringzzzzzz, plus subpar Finals record.

To be clear, I heavily disagree with those people.

I think he is. His career resume is pretty hard to ignore when ranking 1 to 5 in an all time sense. I personally think he's right there with Michael, but Kareem is right there too, and LeBron frankly doesn't have the accolades or career longevity to surpass them as of now... but he has surpassed the rest by now: Hakeem, Bird, Magic, Shaq, Duncan, Russel, Wilt, etc.

If he wins one more title, he's number 2. He's a 4 time RS MVP, 3 time Finals MVP, 3 Rings, been to the Finals 6 times of which he was the best player in 5, has damn near led his title teams in all box score stats, and I think he's the most dominant versatile player ever.

Top 5 sounds right, a legitimate case for higher can be made, however.

I know right. Immediately when he goes to the Heat they have Red Zone, Back in Black, White Hot, and I believe they upped the usage of the Alternate jerseys. I believe he's worn every Cav jersey except the late 90's one when Big Z was the best player. This also doesn't account for the many different All-Star and International jerseys he has had to wear.

He was underrated by many but the amount or " career credit " given to him by his ring this year is also overvalued by the same people, people went from 11 to 3 or 2 and I don't think it's possible to move up that much in career value over one year. I've only see reasonable arguments for Kareem/Jordan/Duncan and Shaq.

I think overrating him this season is somewhat justifiable in that he just pulled arguably the biggest Finals upset in history(only 2011 comes to mind right now to me) and he was the best player on that team on a wide margin. I know it doesn't feel right to say a season should rocket someone in the upper tier that high up the GOAT list but I think his season this year provides a somewhat strong narrative that individuals won't pass up. I think he can go as high as two but I don't think the a lot of the people who claim such a thing have the actual argument to back it up

I certainly jumped lebron up a lot after this post season in my own ranking.

I don't have an exact number but this is the first time I've considered him equal (or there abouts) to shaq and Duncan.

I think he is.. even people who are usually very critical of Lebron have im 4th or 5th now.

Its just so hard not to have him top 5 i think. MJ is the easy choice at 1.. but after that.

2.Kareem: the first decade of his career was not GOAT worthy(great stats but not GOAT Level Winning "only" 1 Title)and then he had Magic,Worthy, etc

3.Bill: 11 Rings are mind boggling but it was in a 8 Team league and Boston was stacked.

4.Magic: amazing but he had Kareem,Worthy etc..

5.Duncan: Great Longlevity and overall great Player .. but also never REALLY dominated.(was he at any Point clearly considered the Best Player in the NBA at the time? I mean in his 2 MVP years its arguable but was he clearly better than Shaq,KG,Dirk,Kobe?). and the Spurs deserve alot of Credit for his 5 Titles..

Is Lebron with 4 MVPs,3 Titles,3 FInals MVPs all his other allocades and the Whole "Coming Home to beat the 73-9 in the greatest comeback ever" story really worse than any of those exept maybe MJ?

Lebron is in the second tier for me now with Duncan, KG, and Jordan. I'm expecting him to move up into the KAJ tier in the next couple of seasons.

What makes Kareem a tier higher when he needed another top 5 player all time to win titles in a western conference where the average opponent won 43 games of the team he played?

The huge longevity edge obviously.

The longevity is overrated it lasted because he wasn't the best player on his team for 7 to 8 years.

I agree with JB, I don't see how Kareem is a tier above LeBron at this point. He may have a longevity edge but LeBron's longevity is underrated and Kareem's is overrated (like JB said Magic helped him big time in this regard). LeBron's peak is a tier above Kareem's peak.
