Giannis had a subpar game against LBJ tonight but it's still a fun article to read.

One thing I will say, it's a little tough to put Giannis on the LBJ pedestal. We are talking about comparing him to arguably the greatest basketball player on the planet, that is a pretty crazy standard.

Not even Lebron would much at 22 of age with this team adn coach.

Kidd doesnt even know how to counter zone defense that has been destroying us for ever. he once put shooters with Giannis by mistake and we demolished the team.

To respond to the locked thread.

Giannis hasn't improved his jumper yet i agree. It would be worrisome except we know a few things.

Up untill a year ago he was told not to even THINK about shooting jumpers. (why would he work on them)
We know for a FACT that he the last 2 offseasons were not spent focusing on his shooting (first offseason his body, 2nd 'point guard skills' which is laughable since he isn't being used there'
JASON KIDD IS THE COACH
His jumper was starting to come around untill the flu took him out for like a week. Long enough to shake his newly found shooting stroke

Giannis has an extremely well documented work ethic, a drive for greatness and all the tools to succeed. Id say there is a 90% chance he works with the German shot doc this summer and comes out the gate next year fine and dandy.

EVEN IF GIANNIS NEVER DEVLOPS A SHOT PASSED THIS STAGE

He will still be a top 10 player.

Like i said in the other thread there are 14 other guys and a Front office to worry about before we worry about if Giannis can shoot 3's at a 32% clip instead of 26%

I dunno. I'm starting to believe Giannis' jumper might actually be the biggest problem moving forward. Can't expect to contend if it's unrealiable and he remains passive with it.

So the guy went from Division 2, Greece, to NBA All Star fkin starter in the space of 4 years, signed up with the team pretty much for life, left money on the table to help the cap situation, but we are concerned it might not be good enough because his lack of a jump shot is a problem too difficult to overcome for the incredible organisation that is the Milwaukee Bucks.

Could Giannis win DPOY this year even though our team defense is terrible? One would think with a better scheme and Giannis not having to fly around like a mad man his numbers could be even better. I havent compared the numbers but hes almost averaging 2 steals and 2 blocks a game. Also, he has to be a lock for most improved player right?

Giannis being indecisive last night was every bit as big a problem as the Cavs packing the paint. Too much side to side dribbling. Play downhill and take some floaters if need be. It's when he's overly cautious that the doubles get to him.
