Not sure what the point of this is unless we're trading one (or two) of our current PGs. Perhaps a sign that a deal is on the horizon?

I know earl liked Ronnie a lot, doesn't hurt to have a full roster

Didn't like Ronnie when he was with us due to taking minutes away from Archie and others.

I can dig this signing now. Never seen a player more respected on this team than Ronnie price. Happy to have him back and I'm sure Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker are too. I remember Booker quoting multiple times last year about how much he loved Ronnie and how he helped him in his rookie season.

Expect a celebration tweet from Booker soon about having Price back. Love the signing.

Kinda forgot all about him and am surprised Knicks and Cavs haven't signed him. Horny and Price were tight.

Price is the perfect move!

I mean what bottom feeder team doesnt need a 5th PG?

Welcome to the far far end of the bench Ronnie, and enjoy the free checks!

Earl wants him to coach, this is probably the first step in that plan.

I think Price is a great pickup as a practice PG and an excellent end of the bench player. Sort of like how I feel about Dudley, although Jared, when he's in great shape, obviously has a little more game value. But either way, neither of them should see more than emergency or mop-up duty right now.

Well somebody has to start coaching sooner or later.

Signing Price signals one of three things for me:

a.) Knight is gone via trade for something
b.) Ulis will be packaged along with something bigger for something large
c.) coachy guy that we keep at the end of the bench to mentor

Its a 0-50-100 move....could mean nothing, could mean something, or could mean something big.

I can see A, but think B is not even close to happening.

This is a league of Star players. Teams do whatever they can to keep their star players happy, even to the point of almost letting them be GM (Yes, im talking about Lebron). Booker is the closest we have to a star (Future Star), and he is best friends with Ulis. He helped talk McD into drafting him and was ecstatic when we did. I think trading Ulis would damper Bookers relationship with us, and i mean c'mon, its not like Ulis is really getting paid that much or is a hot property to other teams. Thats why you hold on to him. His less-than-$1M-Salary could be the difference between Booker staying happy in a Suns uniform or looking else where. Now im not saying that moving Ulis would be that detrimental to Booker, but still, less than a million dollars to keep him happy is well worth it.

Don't take this the wrong way Kerrsed, but McDonough traded one half of a twin brother tandem. Without talking to either of them beforehand. I'm not sure he even thinks this way. Also, if this is a legit worry for you it shouldn't be. I know you've seen the new CBA. It will be damn near impossible for stars to move unless they are hell bent on getting out of dodge and giving up a brinks truck full of money to do it, David West style.

That's an entirely different story. There is very little chance they trade Ulis not only because of what Kerrsed said, even though that is a primary factor, but they seem to love the guy. Those twins had beaten up a guy. He knew they were unpopular to begin with, arguing with the coach, etc.

trading a veteran, brining in a new one..

think if we trade tucker & knight we need someone who barks and leads the rookies and young guns - why not bringing in a well respected person in price? If it is so, it would be a nice move..

Price would have been a good signing for the Cavs. Not sure why they did not do it. I wonder if the Cavs are interested in Barbosa? He actually had some impact last year with the Warriors. I am sure they remember that.
