I'm also sure the answer to all of chones' questions are answered by my post above, too.

He never had to navigate zone defenses though. He would’ve had to trust his teammates way more with today’s rules.

There was at least one notorious standoff between Jordan and Cartwright. Pretty sure it was in "Jordan Rules." Save for the DC years, this is Exhibit A for Jordan as toxic teammate.

Beyond that, there's a number of boulevards TLD never explored or explained:
1) What's the deal with standard-issue white dude as Jordan's best friend?

2) Why was Juanita Jordan's first appearance in the entire series a brief blink-and-miss-it flash in the last installment?
3) Why wasn't Chicago the City used to give the series a sense of place, particularly Black Chicago. In Jordan's early pro years, he shared top billing with insurgent black Mayor Harold Washington and a new on the scene Oprah Winfrey. Jesse Jackson ran for the presidency based out of the city. Home-grown house music was having a moment on the global stage. Lot of big things happening, yet no one watching would know it.
4) Why was Ahmad Rashad, whose role at NBC was to serve as MJ's glorified valet, given so much time? If a former "Inside Stuff" host had to be used, why wasn't it Summer Sanders? [hey boo, come visit Dane County once the rona blows over, we could kick it over some Thai no big deal]
5) How did Jordan get into golf? One minute he's wearing chains on the court, next minute he's getting the yips on the greens.
6) Dammit, where's the footage of Kukoc smoking?

I'll take "Cause who the **** cares what color his best friend is" for 500 Alex

Could you imagine what Bud would do with Giannis and Brook if the other team had Rodman and a no-shoot C on the floor the entire time?
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

For sure a lot of those 90's teams would be out of place in today's league, but weird to me that people think those Bulls squads wouldn't absolutely thrive in 2020. You don't think Phil would have figured out to play Rodman as a small-ball 5 when teams are trotting out Montrezl Harrell and PJ Tucker at center? Just shift everyone down a position and they'd absolutely murder with a death lineup of Kerr/*insert random 3&D SG*/Jordan/Pippen/Rodman.

Hi young fella!

90s basketball was strictly 1 on 1. Help defense effectively needed to announce their intention to double team and were given a technical foul if they didn't go directly to the person with the ball, even if they back dribble to half court.

The mere suggestion that defenses have less capability to stop an elite scorer today than in the 90s is simply flatly untrue. If you dont believe me, believe Jordan who said he wouldnt have been himself if he had had to play against zone defenses.

Which isn't to say he wouldn't have been a great player, just that defenses weren't given the ability to put resources towards defending great players. The NBA needed stars so they made em.

MJ wouldn't be remotely as effective in today's game. Zone defense, paints' packed...his style of ball doesn't work in 2020. Advanced defenses would be playing him to shoot mid range shots all night long.

Kawhi just won a chip basically playing Jordan's game on a gimpy leg. Jordan would be super effective in today's game.

Leonard is a better outside shooter on higher volume. Not comparable.

I have no doubt a guy with MJ's work ethic could become an adequate 3pt shooter if that was what was called upon, his percentages weren't even that bad. Kawhi takes and makes a ton of midrange shots too.

With super spacing. If Kawhi's game of today isn't comparable to Jordan's who's is? Is your stance that Jordan would be trash now? Is Jordan Lavine status in your opinion?

If Pippen doesn't get a migraine before game 7 vs Detroit in 1990 and Jordan doesn't retire 1993, I have no doubt that the Bulls win 9 straight championships. I'll never take anyone seriously who thinks Kobe or LeBron are better than Jordan.

Of course he'd have to adapt his play style to today's rules. This is why all of these time travel scenarios are stupid. Pretty sure if you plopped Steph Curry, James Harden, or Lebron back in 1975 their first few thoughts would be something like:

"Where's the 3PT line?"

"Why aren't you giving me any space!? That's a foul!"

"What the hell is a jump hook?"

i would accept that he was an **** as a teammate, but if the overall success of the team didn't suffer i have a hard time calling his behavior toxic.

If you want to foucs on a phrase I used more for alliteration than accuracy, go 'head. Probably the least comment-worthy part of my post.

Next time i let it slip to my wife that she's "being kind of a bitch" im going to use this.

Mike Jordan would be a combo of Khris and Compton Maggette in 2020.

Listening to the Bucks town hall meeting and a lot of point BS but one thing I found interesting is Peter F went on a rant on how much he loves Darvin Ham. Seems to be pretty consistent across interviews of how respected the guy is.

Everything is pointing to sports returning in July. I will be a little shocked if NBA does not return. It will be sensory overload going with no sports to having the return of MLB, NBA, NHL, etc. all at once. I can hardly wait myself but the wait will be well worth it for me.
