Love that they're finally making a new Saint's Row game, but holy balls, does the trailer look terrible...

Hella impressive, hella expensive.

The tricked out 16” with the M1 Max is $3500. Oof.

I was waiting for these since I’m on a 2013 or 2014 model that no longer will get OS updates, but I’m like…can I wait one more year?

I think that's the one I'm gonna get. I bought a 2020 Intel Macbook Pro and almost immediately regretted it because a month later they released the M1 line. So I've been thinking about trading my MBP in for an M1 version for about a year, but was holding off because I didn't want the new one to be obsolete soon after like my last purchase. Now that I've seen the new line today I think I'll take the dive once I see some reviews, get the trade-in credit while it's still high.

Not a bad plan. I’m debating if it’s worth it right now. I’m not sure I’ll have a complex enough workflow to make the Max worth the extra cash even if I like big numbers. I’m debating the 14” M1 Pro with 32Gb ram and a 1TB SSD. Still runs for about $2800-2900. Silicon shortages make me hesitant to wait, but also I doubt MacBooks fly off the shelves the same way PS5s and graphics cards do. Would like to see reviews.

I did order the gen3 AirPods right away though. I’ve used my gen2 set almost everyday since I got them a few years ago. That was a no brainer and I’ll pass the old ones down to my significant other.

I can't believe how huge Far Cry 6 is. I just finished off one storyline, thinking it was one of three. It's (at least) one of 12. It's still just what I want now, a time suck, but I can see getting to where I was with AC: Valhalla where I quit because I've had enough, even with 100 hours left.

I don't remember FC 5 being remotely close to this massive.

That's how I felt about Ghost of Tsushima. I got through the first act after like 50 hours and was like "That was only the first act?!" and I haven't returned to it since.

I got through the second act, but generally felt the same way. And I loved that game, too. Same deal with AC: Odyssey - first AC I had played in years, I absolutely love the Classics, but got about 80h in and just gave up. Open world games are just too long.

This was a big bummer. I don’t have any new games left that I’m looking forward to in 2021. Looks like God of War PC might be next game in January.

Hopefully console "exclusives" become a thing of the past and the masterrace prospers. 8-)

Maybe - I certainly wouldn't mind :) But I think it's doubtful, at least anything more than several years later, coming from Sony. The exclusives are what sell their systems.

I’m actually OK with them coming 2-3 years later to PC. My backlog is so long I still haven’t played a lot of good exclusives, God of War included.

Ideally it’d be a one year lag. I can hang with two. Three or more and you’re almost starting to get dated with how fast things move — I’ll likely have other things that are shiney and new to take my attention. That said, these games are currently on a multi-year lag and I’m excited, but that’s mainly because it’s novel. Once getting these games ported is the norm, things will change.

It's terrible, don't bother. Played around with it during the Steam indie preview thing in the Spring. I recall someone else here played it and had the same thoughts.

I've somehow played dozens of hours of FC6 without really using the bow much. I have a unique that's been fine, but I finally crafted my own with six unique mods, and I feel like I've just been handed Excalibur. As any FC vet knows, a good bow is the best weapon in the game.

(but my unique shotgun with a suppressor is a close second)
