yeah it's not even like a "would love to see him back but if he gets a better offer, he should go get it". they just flat out told him he's done lol.

I think we should sign him.


He'll come cheap as he's the most hated player in the league and will have a VERY limited selection. He's a vet who won't mind coming off the bench. He had an off year but usually he can shoot and his defense while not good this playoffs usually is pretty sound. Plus, he'll have plenty of motivation against 2 teams that will be in our way next year: Lakers and Grizz.

I'm sure he learned his lesson and will take the chucking down a notch. Just sit in the corner and hit open 3's while playing solid, non dirty defense. Phoenix needs a guy whose a little gritty anyways. I'd sign Grant Williams too since we're on the subject.

Funny how some are isolating him to what we just watched in the playoffs or at the end of the year when the Grizz were reeling from the stuff surrounding Ja. Prior that he had been a valuable contributing piece and hustle player that helped elevate them.

I guess if he’s willing to turn his life around and stop being so cringe. But I don’t think he’s capable.

James Jones did try to trade for him back in the day so maybe he considers it. But I doubt it unless he gets him on a bargain. You know how Jones is.

I think he'd start for us at the 3. Easily. He'd be way better than trotting Okogie or Craig out there when's he's on. I wonder if he'll sign for >10 a year. His value is basement level right now, so this would be the time to get him on a dirt cheap deal which is the only kind we can afford.

He will have true hate and motivation for Memphis when we play them and no love for Lebron or the Dubs either. Just what we need. Provided he stops hitting ppl in the balls and shooting 15 times a game.

I think its 50/50 that Paul is back - I think he will be traded for a larger contract with guarantees

Unless I have the rules wrong - Paul + Payne is worth I think $37 on the books but the team acquiring can release with a dead cap hit if you will of $17.8m

The Suns - I think - would be able to take back the $37m give or take on the books

I have no desire to see this team return as is with Landry Shamet getting minutes and no depth. I still think Warren has stuff left in the tank and has been unfairly maligned by Monty, and maybe with a new coach and offseason of integration he can be important off the bench.

But outside of him and Okogie/Craig I have no desire for any of the role players to return, including Chris Paul. And in that regard Dillon Brooks would be important. I don't really give a **** if he's hitting people in the nuts. We need NBA level players - said the same thing with Hachimura.

Actually I don't think that's legal unless they changed it back in the latest CBA. If Paul is traded his whole contract becomes guaranteed. That's something they made a rule in the CBA.
