It's a cheap deal and he can be moved for assets eventually. Even if it's for a couple of second round picks.
It comes down to what you can get as well....its a two way street. If he's the guy that is signaling the most he's willing to come...then we have to take what we can get. Plus, DLO is a good player and I have watched him for years, plus he has experience with AD.

If healthy, Mavs will have an insane team. Their 2nd unit could be a starting unit on a lot of teams lol...

Nop. His agent already said he is not going anywhere. That's good for Mavs, would be quite difficult to match his insane salary.

Portland has received the order from the league to get Ayton to LA for next to no cost. Lebron doesn't want to make a pay cut but wants to win a final glory. Either way, things look fine except signing DoLo to 6.5M per. Hopefully Brandon Williams and Hardy could grow enough to seize the spot. 31% from the arc and 39% inside the paint are really worst than Westbrook.

Not to mention the defense and contract compared with Exum.

DFS joins Houston. This is a hell of team. The Mavs has to study how Houston plays early.

I think the loss of DFS is significant. Lebron is right. LAL won't win this season. Just think about facing OKC, they stand no chance.

The team chemistry is gone after DFS Reaves and Lebron all refuse to cooperate with the team. And yes, Lebron James is available for trade.

LAL arguably replaced DFS with a better younger player on a cheaper deal. DFS also had an ankle surgery.

I'm not a fan of the D'Lo signing. I understand that he's probably the most talented playmaking guard we could have gotten with the TPMLE but I do not think he's a winning player and I don't really want his erratic on-court/off-court tendencies to be around Flagg and Lively.
I hope I'm wrong and he's awesome for us though. The good news is that it's a short and small contract.

POR likes holiday and hence to trade for him, and even give up some picks in the process. How come they will waive him?

It is only 5.7M, even Hardy is getting more than that. Can’t complain too much.

Are you sure LaRavia is really better than DFS?

Luka is going to save Ayton’s career.

Did you hear what Pelinka was doing to DFS?

It's 13M for 2 years. It can't be 5.7M per.
