- Cavs; they just lost Varejao for the season, Plumlee maybe a good alternative for them as he just needs to be the big body to crash boards and alter shots.

- Celtics; They are in full rebuild or heading there... Brandon Wright cant be traded until a couple of months though...

- Nuggets; May want out of McGee's contract...

- Nets; 3 of their main guys are on the block...

Celtics board has tossed around IT deals.. For Wright, Bradley or Green... Cavs are looking for Boston to help them get a center- hadn't thought of the Plumlee option..

I have a feeling the major hump over a suns/celtics swap of Thomas and Wright, is Thomas is slightly higher value due to him being locked up for 4 years at 7 million... And producing good numbers.

Wright is expiring...

If both were locked in at 4 years or atleast at multiple years, A trade would be easier as it can be cleaner one for one.
But I have a feeling McD is asking or would ask for an additional asset from celtics.

Could be, but I hope that's not the case. While IT is producing some numbers you can't really say that he is a net positive for this team, for the reasons we have discussed a gazilion times in the threads... So if we can get out of his contract, while taking a good look at Wright, and not hinder the devolpment of Len, and increase our chances to resign (a happier) Dragic in the offseason - I hope McD would make that trade.
Heck, if all turns out OK, we could resign Wright in the offseason, and voila, there is your C rotation for the Suns for the next 5 yrs... Len/Wright/Plum, a nice combo of offense/defense/hustle

^Or we can just wait til Wright expires in the offseason and give him a call then. No need to trade Isaiah for an expiring, his contract does not generate negative value.

A legit possibility. But it can't hurt to take a peek while he is actually on the team. As for Isiahs contract - no, its not negative value, but his overall presence might be. Again, we have talked this over (and over, and over, and over) so many times that I'm not wasting my time on it.

If the Rockets really want to give away Tarik Black to make space for Smith, lets go ahead and offer like top 55 protected 2nd rd pick for him.

If we want to add a Houston’s player, I think Capela is the better prospect/player. We can absorb his contract and gives them a low second round pick.

Oh my Lord ... all flavors of stats and advanced stats show the IT is certainly a net positive for the team.

Well, there must be some reason why McD is trying to trade him, and turning down trades for Dragic... Sometimes numbers don't tell the whole story with people, you know?

If Dragic is unhappy about this situation, I'd rather ship ITs ballpounding azz out the door, than to see the All-NBA guard leave at the end of the season. Our backcourt clicked a lot better last yr, and the only significant change there was is IT.
I only wonder why other GMs around the league are not so convinced about his numbers, and why aren't jumping at the wonderful possibility to acuire him asafp...

Guys, Tarik Black is Miles Plumlee 2.0
I want no part with that guy... Capela should be our target.

I don't think we are as desperate to move IT as what some here think, It makes sense to offer him up, but not to give him away. Its not yet an addition by subtraction scenario.

Wins will squelch all complaints (may be even here).

Never said we are desperate to trade him. That doesn't make too much sense now. But we are shopping him, which is the right direction.
Wins are nice, the more the better. But we are likely not winning as much as we did last year, and that is the only number that really matters, unlike ppg/apg which you can get in a number of ways...

I'd offer the wolves pick for capela. Doubt the Rockets would bite but maybe. I'd also be fine with IT for D Mo and whatever salary filler it took to get the deal done but again I'm not sure the Rockets would bite.

@GoranDragicNews: NBA Trade RUMORS: Phoenix Suns Looking To Make Blockbuster Deal ... http://t.co/8UCPHrUPhA

I think the article Sums it up. We aren't trading for scrapes. We are looking for a big name in a trade. Pretty much means Houston can keep dreaming.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

I dont understand McD coming out saying they are after a big trade...
Not so subtle was he?

Is it a ploy to get some more teams making calls or what.

Gerald Green being traded isn't a blockbuster. Same with IT.

I hope Mcd doesn't trade Plumlee. We need two centers (starter/backup) and incase you all haven't noticed, Len isn't the most healthiest player on our roster. Glad to see him playing well but at the same time, we need to see if he's durable enough to last 85% of NBA games played in a season.

I call baloney. McD has never attached a name to his trade discussions. He simply said we want a big name player ... period. It's the blogosphere and fans like you who make sh*t up and attach names when you don't care for a particular player. I dare you to post one legitimate McD quote that includes a current player's name that we are shopping. That crap just doesn't happen. Bad enough for team morale during the trade season let alone attaching names to it.

He said this from day one when he got here. Collect assets and bring in a superstar (e.g., Garnett to Boston). Dragic for Houston scraps doesn't cut it. IT for similar crap doesn't either. Go big or go home.
