This whole thing is just ridiculous, I really can't grasp how it came to this

DaddyCool19 wrote:Isn't Blake a Free Agent in 2 years? Thats the year when Dirk retires and the Mavs should have a ton of cap space. If I'm Cuban I would offer the max to Griffin just to **** with the Clippers. Paul should be declining by then, Pierce retired and DAJ still the sub 50% ft shooter who hasn't developed any offense yet.

With the cap going up for everyone and two years of the MLE, one would hope Doc and his crew would have at least signed some players, but doesn't make sense how Dallas would even be a player for Blake in that scenario, they would still likely have an inferior situation.

What happened with Brandon Knight?

I'm just referring to how when DJ dunked on Knight and everyone made a huge deal out of it like it was impressive to see a 7 footer dunk on a point guard. At least Knight showed balls, something Jordan apparently doesn't have.

I've been against bringing DJ back for years. I've thought DJ was an immature diva for years and certainly since he first initiated this whole drama today. It's almost as if the rest of the forum is reaching for any excuse they can to take potshots at the most hated fanbase on the site.

LOL. Actually, DeAndre's mother wants him in Texas so he's closer to home. Cuban should pick her up, put the contract in her hand, and tell her to go talk to her son. They gotta let her in.

Can't wait for "DeAndre" to rip off his face mask after signing that 100M contract, revealing former Maverick and Laker fan-favorite DJ Mbenga.

Big Baby may have found himself a way out of that nickname. Can't have two on one team.

He's really pathetic. He has thrown the entire franchise under the bus in a vain attempt to save his own reputation, making them travel all the way down to Houston, talk him off the ledge, and then shield him from a meeting he scheduled with the Mavs. Not once has he taken responsibility for his actions. Fegan, Ballmer, Doc, and CP3 are taking all the criticism while DJ is hiding behind them like a scared little bitch even though he orchestrated the whole thing.

DJ is the biggest coward in the history of the NBA. Even though my team is stuck with him for five more years of mediocrity, I can't ever see myself rooting for him. I really wish Doc would have just told him to **** off.

Mediocrity? CP3, Griffin, Redick, Pierce, Jordan, Stephenson, Crawford is a contender even in the west. All they need are two serviceable bigs and resign Rivers.

Bad idea.

So will the Mavericks now try to get Hibbert before the trade to the Lakers is official..?

Five more years of second round exits and treadmilling. Since the CP3 era began, the Grizzlies, Warriors and Rockets have already passed us by in short order and the Pelicans will be next. Yes, this is mediocrity.

Mavs seems like a classy organization. Doubt they would.

Fully expected this from the Clips though.

I can't see the Mavs getting past the Clippers D on the account that there are more Clippers around Deandre's home and also the fact that they are not playing basdketball.

Would be hypocritical of them. Also, I don't think Bird would do that. Bird wouldn't even entertain the thought of tanking, don't think he'd go back on his word with the Lakers.

I don't think so. That was a trade between TEAMS. Deandre is a free agent so he is free to renege.
