Would be such a ballsy move to trade Middleton to the Dubs for Haliburton and Wiggins.

I think we can get more than that from GS, because Wiggins is still regarded as a bad contract - though I think he took a big step up last season.

The non-homer in me also feels this way.

No idea why it took so long for a sharp guy like Schmitz to catch up to my amateur ass on Haliburton. Everything he's talking about was on display all year.

If we trade for Wiggins and Haliburton, we'd have to turn over a good portion of the roster. Just get as many athletes as possible to constantly get out and run. Would be fun to watch, don't know it would work in the playoffs, though.

When I scouted this Draft Year players and saw Tyrese Haliburton ... his pace and feel for the game reminded me a bit of Reggie Miller.

I love Halliburton. It think he’s arguably the #1 prospect in the draft. No chance I would trade Middleton for him though.

Wow, lots of love for Halliburton in the thread today. I honestly don't know much about him. I'll have to check out his stuff later. What do you guys like about him? What do you see his NBA player comparison being?

Tyrell Terry remains my draft crush.

Hali is just a really really good passer and an analytics darling. Great shooting percentages though it's kinda Brogdon-esq where he'd only shoot it when he was wide open. Probably best suited as a secondary playmaker but he's the #1 or #2 prospect in the draft for me.

It is definitely funky lol. There's a couple weird jumpers in this class despite good shooting percentages. Bane is another one.

I still think Maxey is the guy with the biggest potential to just explode. In my opinion, the shortened season hurt him more than a lot of these other prospects. He carried that Kentucky team as a true freshman. He’s just so good all around.

He'll need to explode just to become a passable offensive player. He's just bad on that end of the floor. Quickley was the SEC player of the year, Maxey didn't carry anything, he's a defensive specialist only right now.

He's a winner. Funky form but hit NBA distance 3s all year, terrific finishing at the basket too. Great court vision. Terrific defender. Long arms, quick feet. A traditional star? No, but his team will always win more than you think it should.

I think that's selling Maxey quite a bit short. I agree he is a defensive menace, both at the POA and team D, but he has a pretty nice offensive game. Probably the best floater in the class, really great finisher where he shows off his strength/balance, promising shooter off the bounce, has the clutch gene. His C&S game needs work and his release point is a touch low, but I honestly think there is a universe where Maxey ends up being the best of this class. I go back to his EYBL stuff to remind myself how good he is in the right situation, very context driven season at Kentucky.

Hali I really like as well, but he is more of an elite linking player. Steady as they come, great team D, can operate well out of the PnR, very good C&S guy. I worry about his frame a bit as well as his ability to score in the half court unassisted, but next to Giannis he would be incredible.
