That would be pretty cool, I think.

Like I said, he can dribble and compete defensively. So right off the bat, he has some useful playoff attributes.

Even though he offers no spacing, he's a vet with a lot of experience that played in a lot of playoff games (even was on a championship roster as a deep bench piece).

I think Joseph would be a welcome bargain price addition. He even has alternative value as a $12.6m expiring salary to put in trade packages next year. I think that appeals to Morey.

What did we decide we'd give up for Lonzo? And then what happens after the season?

The other benefit is you can combine any of the expiring guys to SAC, unlike with Hill and Wright where you have to send certain guys out since you can't send Bradley back to DET or Ferguson/Poirier back to OKC.

Would be nice to flip Bradley, Ferguson and Scott for CoJo and then 2 future 2nds for Bjelica into the TPE.

3 for 2 deal essentially, freeing up JJs roster spot.

Tobias for Kemba walker is a trade to address shotcreation. We need shotcreation.

We’re not trading Tobias this year give it up. The free agent market is gross compared to what he gives us right now. I think we keep him at least this and next year. Kemba is cooked and would force Ben to guard 4’s

I’d give a first or two and give him a 4 year deal in a heartbeat

How do we feel about this deal?

Incoming:

LaVine
Thad
Markkanen

Outgoing:

Tobias
Matisse
Tyrese

Reasoning? Chicago capitalizes on LaVine having a breakout year and gets 2 young cost controlled rotational pieces to add to their young core, while also gaining a good on court leader and fit in Tobias.

WCJ
Tobias
Williams
Maxey
White

With Thybulle as 6th man.

Sixers go for it all with LaVine pairing with the other 2 All Stars, and Lauri as a good fit stretch big, resign him to a longer term deal. Thad off the bench for playoff push.

Embiid/Howard
Markkanen/Young
Simmons/Green
LaVine/Korkmaz
Curry/Milton

What's the appeal in Fournier? I get that he's tall and a willing spacer, but his ability to put the ball on the floor and get buckets is extremely compromised. His scoring production in bad offenses on terrible Orlando teams over the last half decade is incredibly fake. And he's an expiring contract.

I've seen Evan Fournier led France to a bronze World Cup in 2019 as a number 1 option on offence. He led his team in points and assists in a win over USA team in quarter-finals.
He led his team in PPG with 19.8 (USA leading scorer was Kemba with 14.4 PPG) with 41% shooting threes and getting to the line 4.5 times, witch is a lot in FIBA. And he played decent defence when locked in.
I've read his French interview last summer where he clearly says he want to be on a NBA title contending team and is willing to sign a contract with contender in 2021 off-season.
I've seen some clutch performances from him in NBA and some tough buzzer-beaters, some game-tying plays. Not once.

Cory Joseph has never averaged double digits in scoring in his career.

What are our possible target using Horfords TPE? And when is a deadline to use it?

How about D.Green for Rubio and a 2nd round pick?

Wolves free up cap space next year by giving up a 2nd round pick.

Sixers start Embiid, Harris, Simmons, Curry and Milton. Have Rubio run the second unit.

I don’t think we want to pay 17 MIL for a second unit PG, while we have Milton and Maxey.

Thing is, you want to pay big money to the players who will most probably finish games. Play minutes when it matters most. Right now we have Embiid Simmons Harris Green and Curry as top payed guys and they are probably finishing games with this unit. Maybe Shake in place of Curry/Green.
So if you trade Curry or Green, it better be for a star player who’s finishing game and being productive.

I havent seen Markkanen play in a while, but from what I remember great fit.

Doubt we can afford him if we have financial constraints, but I like Bertans from Washington.

They could essentially trade Green for Bertans financially.

But he has about four more years in the high teens. That would put them above 128+ million just for Embiid, Simmons, Tobias, Seth, and Bertans. If ownership doesn’t allow them to go over luxury tax, they prob wouldn’t be able to.

If they could go over the tax, I am interested, but may not want to spend so much on a backup four. Maybe need to poor more resources into a starter.

Aren't they almost under the tax right now? I imagine that the salary cap will most likely go up and I could see them spending that $15M on another starter for the next few years.

Regardless, I agree he's not worth the price tag especially for five years.

A quick look, this season they are at $143 million. Next season already guaranteed $116 million.

This year’s cap is $109 million and luxury tax $142 million.

Not sure about next year’s estimates.
