Ugh. “Tanking” is not what we did, and nor it should t be the goal.
However, the goal should not be A) overpaying role players to be stats (Randle) or B) burying recent lotto picks behind journeymen rentals or C) fighting and clawing for 5 extra wins in the last meaningless weeks of the season to drop to 8 from top 3.
To say this team “tanked” totally ignores the reality that Dolan’s minions went for the 8 seed at the expense of developing its own draft talent and maximizing its future draft capital.
