It's still just what I want now, a time suck, but I can see getting to where I was with AC: Valhalla where I quit because I've had enough, even with 100 hours left.

I don't remember FC 5 being remotely close to this massive.

That's how I felt about Ghost of Tsushima. I got through the first act after like 50 hours and was like "That was only the first act?!" and I haven't returned to it since.

I got through the second act, but generally felt the same way. And I loved that game, too. Same deal with AC: Odyssey - first AC I had played in years, I absolutely love the Classics, but got about 80h in and just gave up. Open world games are just too long.

Yep, same. I absolutely loved it but I just can’t stick with open world games that long. I usually loop back around months later to finish but at this point, I have enough of a backlog that im not sure I will in this case. Never finished Red Dead 2 either which I similarly loved.

Ghost of Tsushima was great to me, went trough all of it quick, and I honestly lost passion for games outside strategy and sports gaming ( :sour: spent entire day playing FIFA< not proud of it), it is so hard for me to get hooked on a game nowadays, I have so many classics I started for an hour and never went back, but now I have same thing with movies and TV shows, I just has mental fear of new things, but man, Ghost of Tsuhsima was great, Witcher 3 kinda ruined these games for me, whole time I played Ghost, I was thinking man if it was more like Witcher it would be GOAT candidate. But it was good for what it was, I loved it, could do bamboo mini game all day, one of those games were I go very sad when I finished it and new it was over :tooth Red dead 2 I didnt finished, but I honestly didnt like that game at all, everything was so scriped, and with console auto aim, I barely felt like its a game, good characters, dialogue and cut scenes in a middle of bad game...

Right Now I am super exited for one game tho, which is rare for my apathetic soul : Age of Empires 4. cant wait.

Incredible system. Vice City has got to be pretty high on the list - it's my favorite GTA.

SSX Tricky, Gran Turismo 3, Ico, FFX. I know I'm missing a ton.

My first console (outside of my dad's Super Nintendo) was the original Xbox. I didn't touch a PlayStation until the PS4. The three games I associate with that time period though would be Kung Fu Chaos and Fusion Frenzy on the Xbox and Soldier of Fortune 2 on PC.

Had a GameCube and an Xbox that generation, not a PS2. Regrettable in hindsight, but also those two systems had a lot of great games too.

The Dreamcast and Xbox were my two college consoles. Had virtually everything for the Dreamcast because of how easy it was to download and rip games onto CD-Rs. Xbox games from that time I remember playing a lot of included the Madden/NCAA games, Halo 1 & 2, Max Payne 1 & 2, Need For Speed: Underground, MVP and NCAA Baseball, Splinter Cell, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Tiger Woods, NBA Street Vol. 2, The Godfather: The Game, Mercenaries, and the GOAT: Ninja Gaiden.

Have enjoyed the first couple hours of this one.

ETA: Serious buggy game breaking issues. If the controller goes to sleep after being set down, I wasn't able to reconnect and have it work 100%. At first I couldn't navigate menus, then I couldn't doing anything. Bummer, because I lost all but 20 minutes of gameplay.

Same. Would love a current version where you use like YouTube links or TikToks or something.

My family had most of the consoles growing up, being the youngest had its perks.

But my first console ever? The Dreamcast, so ahead of its time.

I started off with an OG PlayStation in college. I had the thing you plug into the back that let you play ripped games. You had to use a spring in by the disk to keep this little button pushed down when you opened the PS to switch from a real game to initially boot the system, and then put your CD-R in there. Thinking about it now I also had a Dreamcast and Xbox during college... where the **** did I get that money and why didn't I drink it instead?
