I think Love in MLF’s offense will do well until teams apply serious pressure. When I watched taped of him in college his mechanics were great when he had time. He throws a beautiful ball. Breaks down hard under duress though. Teams are going to blitz us a lot.
Need the offensive line to step up.

Hope that was directed at me. I was one of the few who wanted Love leading up to the draft and love the idea of having another (potentially) great QB.

I have also stated if a team is offering a Herschell Walker type of deal you take it.

My statement was tongue in cheek.....not meant to berate anyone who is happy to hear Love had a good practice.

Does this put Sternberger more on the bubble than before? He's been more of a tease than a performer up til now

Tonyan's the starter. With Sternberger's history of more potential than actual performance, does Deguarra move ahead on the depth chart by default? Big Dog Lewis will see plenty of snaps regardless of who's the QB. Dafney, or one of the UDFA's may even be ahead of Sternberger at this point.

Totally speculating on my part but I think even before this he had an uphill battle to make the roster. Tonyan, Deguara and Lewis are all locks. Given that if they keep 4 the fourth guy is likely going to need to play a ton of special teams snaps, it’s gonna be hard to justify keeping Sternberger.

Making tough throws under pressure is a defining trait of a great QB. I think all QBs struggle when the pass rush can get there with four, but it's when five or six guys are coming at you that great QBs know how to make smart reads and tough throws into tight windows.

He doesn't need to be Patrick Mahomes level on that front. You're right to point out how important that'll ultimately be, but for now, I just want him to make all the throws he should be making in the pocket. Build from there.

I saw flashes from Deguara before his unfortunate injury. Hopefully, he comes back at 100% and continues to evolve.

Dillon/Jones
Tonyan/Deguara
Adams/MVS/Lazard/Rodgers

I don't know about you guys but this organization has drafted and developed some pretty good weapons for whoever is at QB.

I would like to see I-formation with Dillon at the 3spot, Jones at the 2, one of Tonyan or Deguara next to the right tackle with the other one out wide, Adams on the opposite end. That would set up some great play-action opportunities while allowing Dillon to get the much-needed 1-2 yards on 3rd and short.

I can't stand going 5 wide on 3rd and 1. We don't do it as much now that MM is gone, but it still happens too often.

Another year or two of development under Rodgers would be ideal. It's nice to see Love is already picking up traits from Aaron. Hoping Packers and Rodgers can work something out.

For the love of god please extend Adams and Jaire now!

Also, never noticed how much Jordan Love holds the ball similar to Mahomes/Murray/Wilson. I always assumed the other three held it like that because of their baseball background.

That hold/arm position pictured above is called “The Strip Sack”.

All this talk about Carr and Adams on Twitter today is driving me insane. PFF especially is posting pictures of them together.

Looked at Walter Football's 2022 mock and he's got the Packers picking #4. Ouch.

4 - Green Bay Packers: Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE/OLB, Oregon
Will the Packers finally obtain an upgrade across from Davante Adams? Perhaps Justyn Ross would be the pick, but the Packers can select the best non-quarterback prospect in this class.

Kayvon Thibodeaux has enjoyed two great years, terrorizing Pac-12 backfields with his great pass-rushing ability.

Couldn't argue with that pick, though I might look at Evan Neal (maybe the next Jonathan Ogden) or Ross if Adams leaves.

I’ll entertain that even though Green Bay is a playoff team with or without Rodgers.

Thibodeaux looks like the best player in the draft so yea that’s a slam dunk at 4.

I think if we're picking 4th overall, I don't think we're taking a non-QB. It means Love wasn't good, at all. Buuuut we're winning the Superbowl so this guy doesn't really matter.

Nah. Peyton Manning was 3-13 in his first year. Rodgers was 6-10 despite having three years to prepare. Love'll get at least two seasons.

There also isn't an Andrew Luck or Trevor Lawrence in the 2022 draft either. But in 2023 you'll have D.J. Uiagalelei.

The Colts were 3-13 the year before. 6-10 was 10th overall last year. 9th in 2019. 8th in 2017. 9th in 2019. 8th in 2016. The bottom feeders are sitting more at the bottom than than they have in years past. The Packers were 13-3 last year while returning a great offensive line, elite weapons at RB, TE, and WR, and a defense that's capable. Love doesn't have an excuse for Green Bay picking 4th overall.
