Everyone says this FO doesn’t leak anything but they leak EVERYTHING. They leaked Toppin. They leaked McBride.

Now are leaking Fournier and Dennis. Disgusting. Stay away from those two. I’d much rather have Lonzo + Duncan Robinson.

I'd say that's true, but the FO on the one hand is kind of tight lipped, but on the other do leak.

I think it's important to pay attention to WHO they leak to.
Generally, Woj gets info from them.
There might be other guys, I'm not paying close enough attention.
Others are absolutely pulling stuff out of their ass or just repeating others.

Knicks fans so battered no free agents come they are justifying building a foundation around Randle/Fournier/Schroeder as the 3 highest paid players on the team. Not one has proven to be a #2 option in the NBa let alone a #1 option.

If we are spending on someone...Lonzo sounds better to me then Schroeder, Fournier, Oubre

Lonzo doesn't address driving to the rim.

I'd like Lonzo too. To play wing.
The Knicks would low key kind of suck pairing Lonzo with RJ.

Part of the issue is....wait for it...is that RJ isn't that dynamic or that good driving the ball, getting his own scoring.
Sure, Ball could facilitate for him, but I think there would eventually be a certain level of frustration with Ball making 20 million and meanwhile no one besides Randle can effectively create for himself and the D is staying home on RJ's and Ball's 3 pointers.

Schroeder is in NO WAY my first choice.

But if no Sexton, Rose might not come back, then who, and at what cost?

Again, I'd be disappointed. Sexton my choice for multiple reasons: age, upside, better, cost, flexibility.
But what if the Cavs just don't want to trade him? Knicks make them?
Even Ball might not even want the Knicks.

He doesn't address that part, but he does address a bunch of other things the Knicks could use. I look at him more in terms of a plan where we eventually find another creator. I am not even sure he is a great idea, but seems better then Schroeder. At least he is young and has some room to get better.

I am down for Sexton too. He is looking better and better compared to other options. But who knows what the cost or availability is?

But still; trading 19 for more cap just to sign Dennis and Fournier is so weak man

People still don't get it. It wasn't to create room for FA.
It was to create a cost free asset that can be put into a trade either this year or next year.
Once you pick, a) The player is defined and the other team that will receive the pick can't pick their own guy and b) The asset how has a cap hit, not matter how small. Not for the KNICKS but for the other team.

Yeah, I mean Schroder isn’t one of my top options but he is still definitely a big upgrade

He did average 17.7 PPG 8 APG on 46/40/86 splits without lebron. So there’s some potential as him as a lead guard

Teams like the Heat seem to find talent late in drafts or undrafted then develop them getting quality contributions on the cheap while the old Knicks way is to then throw bags at them in FA which never worked out at all..... Rose better not take that old Knicksy way.

When the Knicks signed Randle there was a general consensus it was an ok deal apart from the opinion of his contribution to winning because that was in question.

After one year there was a general consensus it was a terrible deal which included the opinion his contribution to losing was without question.

After the past year there is a general consensus that it's a great deal which most have the opinion he contributes to winning.

So in conclusion....stfu and gtfo with the snap judgment prisoner of the moment hot takes...sure, you are welcome to have them but I'm not obligated to respect them just because you have them.

Maybe so. Randle was 24 when we signed him and had not played full seasons in the league. We need to be looking at young guys like this who have a chance to outplay their contract. Guys like: THT, Trent Jr, Monk, Lauri, Lonzo, Oubre.

I'd like to point out it's possible that collection caps out the Knicks in a somewhat advanced mediocrity but youthful.

I'm actually for it because I think they could be moved, but it's interesting list when people getting so twisted over Schroeder (again, not my #1 choice)
