I can't believe I am still in the playoff hunt after the whole Arenas fiasco. Hopefully my team can hold it together after the slew of trades my guys were involved in.

Bww got a tremendous steal with Durant last year, it made his season. None of these guys are going to do that kind of thing. He'll need to strike lightning later on.

Yikes. Wanna make a side wager?

Oh how I wish we'd done a side wager.

Maybe next year.

Looking back, most of my predictions were correct, apart from that I thought sly's team would suck. How wrong was I when he is sitting pretty at the moment and would've smashed by team - with or without CP3.

You were wrong about my team...had I kept my early waiver additions (Marcus Thornton, Omri Casspi), and had I not traded for Devin Harris, Spencer Hawes and Ramon Sessions, my team would have been middle of the pack rather than bottom-feeder. Next year I'm coming back with a vengeance....you know, contending for 15th place.

Sorry Brian...but I never ever rated your team highly at all? And there you were trying to contend that your team > my team? Without CP3, I still beat you!

Had I not traded my team into crap, you would not have beaten me...that's my contention.

Young_Star11 wrote:bww - he did alright. He came from nowhere to win the title last year, and this year he's got a better team IMO. That said, big man overload wasn't the brightest ever idea. He'll always be there or thereabouts. Got him at #8.

well I too believe you have a pretty weak team. It's beyond me how you are in the 6th place right now.

for example you are 7 games ahead of me and here are the stats of our teams:

SA Sugarkids .483 .742 475 7548 3551 1157 598 310 931
Drama Llama .462 .736 448 7175 3257 1593 513 415 1045

I lead your team in 7 cats yet you are 7 games ahead. I guess that is the explanation of luck in fantasy =)

You're only marginally better than me at FT, 3PTM and PTS. The fact that my team is pretty balanced and competitive in every category (except for FG% and maybe turnovers) must have helped.

And while we're talking about luck, let's talk about the fact that I've just had a really unlucky allstar (half) week and lost to one of my toughest competition for the playoff race. And I had it with injuries as much as anyone else too.

Woody you have overachieved this season, it has to be said. Those 58 of 60 moves have kept you afloat. Your team has defied the odds.

I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near a lock for the playoffs. My draw in the final three weeks is not easy, with three teams - sabonis, RNG, Cy - looking to beat me to gain ground on me. My team without Chris Paul just isn't good - at all.

This week's big clashes were:
YS (5) v Sk1p (15)
Sk1p was 14 games behind 6th and needed to win to stay alive. Instead, Bosh misses a couple of games in his week of need, and my weakened roster looks like it will live to fight another day.

Ham (8) v Woody (6)
Woody has a tough finish, with jfrost, 3Si and bww after this week. And so he really needs to win, or if not, restrict his loss to 5-4. Ham has jazzfan next week, and then TTGM/AlciG to finish, so if he stays strong the next two weeks, I'd give him a chance to finish strong.

jfrost (7) v Fran (1)
jfrost has a tough draw, with Woody and jazzfan to go in the final two weeks. A win for fran would make him a near-lock for the playoffs, and give him a big lead.

sly (4) v sabonis (10)
It hasn't been sabonis' year after a great one last year. sly has made a mockery of my predictions this year, and he's still got Marcus Thornton on the IL. He is a sure team to watch. sabonis needs to stay in the hunt somehow.

Cyrus (9) v stick (13)
Both sides have work to do if they are make the playoffs, but neither has a particular tough draw coming home. Cyrus with Blatche in fine form is the more dangerous opponent, though a loss this week makes things tougher for him in the past three weeks.

Remember, bww wasn't in the top-6 down the stretch...right up until the last week. He went onto win. This year, it is set up for a team to come into form at the right time of the season.

I'm in trouble this week. Al Jefferson out 2 games with the suspension and up against Jazzfan. Not good. Going to be a tight race for that 6th spot.

It's just I am not drafting a good enough team to win a title. 7th and 6th in my first two years, and something similar this year. Injuries haven't helped.
