I'm not trying to be unrealistic with it but Humphries and marswag are not valuable assets. Jameer is on a slightly unfavorable contract, but he produces more than brooks. Davis is more capable than Humphries. The nets are in trouble because of cap space. The horrid joe Johnson and Ben Wallace contracts. Yea, they improved. About as much as they can. Although Boston is on its way out, and the Knicks stuck in cap hell as well

I'm not saying Orlando would or should do this deal, my stance has been what better offers could they get and I have yet to be presented with one despite most Orlando fans saying they could do better.

well it seems like the Magic front office have never been really high on Brooks. Getting an expiring contract in Humphries is nice and all, but Nelson is one of the few vets that I would like to see stay in a Magic uniform. Moving BBD for Humphries and Tyshawn Taylor. Taylor looked really good in the D-league and what little he did play this year he looked pretty good. Almost 50% 3pt. Both contracts are expiring contracts, so if Taylor doesn't look good, them no harm no fowl. As an added bonus Taylor played at Kansas as well.

Again, I wasn't trying to sell the BK package, I was more wondering what Orlando would expect to get for Nelson and BBD as more than one poster said they could do better...including one who said they could get them young players or picks.

Well I realize that. I am not sure how high the value is on BBD, so I don't think we'll do much better than Humphries/Taylor.

I just personally don't think we should trade both of them. I think it's a sure thing we'll trade Afflalo, which leaves Davis and Nelson the only real veteran leaders on the team and I think even rebuilding teams need some veteran leadership to set an example. My preference is to keep Nelson for one more season and hope that one of our younger players is ready and experienced enough to be the locker room leader after next season when Nelson's contract is only half guaranteed.

why would the nets make this move? we lose our only tradeable asset that allows us to bring in salary and we dont gain much. nelson is nice as a backup PG, but our giant hole at pf is still there bbd is a terrible fit next to lopez. you need an elite rebounder and plus defender next to brook

Magic fan here and i would accept this deal in a heartbeat, especially is Brooks is the player we get back. Our number one priority right now should be getting out of Big Baby's contract and this allows that to happen.
