As I've just lost Lou Williams for the year, I need some depth. I'm willing to trade one of my top guys (i.e. Aldridge) in a 2 for 1. Hit me up with offers...

Not a lot of trade interest in the league this year. We used to be a very active league in that regard.

I don't ever remember many trades after the first 2 weeks in this league.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Haha, that's because I haven't been as active on the trading front this year.

In related news, I now have only 1 move left in this league, so if any one wants to make a trade, let me know, before I go and waste my last move on yet another attempt to find a diamond in the rough on the waiver wire.

And with Rondo now out for the season I signal my surrender. I was a LONG shot with all my injuries anyway, but, with Rondo out I'm officially sunk.

I vote for an IL next year, it was miserable this year not having one for me.

This is the one thing I absolutely hate about fantasy bball: An injury can decimate your team, and that's something you simply can't always plan for.

Wes, I feel your pain. Your team was really making some noise.

Even with more than one of my players having season-ending injuries, I'd still be in favor of no IL.

I would only consider voting in favor of IL if 60 move limit is brought back. Otherwise, no.

I'm sure jazzfan realizes this, but it's worth noting that an IL wouldn't help at all with Rondo.

let's say Rondo was out only for 6 weeks.

now tell me how having Pargo instead of Rondo for 6 weeks would put you in the playoffs? in this league if you lose one of your top 3-4 picks (or let's say one of your top 50 guys) it's most probably over, whether you have IL or not.

Well, I didn't have Bogut for most of the season and was still challenging for a playoff spot. and had there been an IL where I could have stashed Bogut I would have been in even better shape.

No, an IL wouldnt' have helped with Rondo. But, with Bogut, Harrington, Felton, Thornton, and Valanciunus it would have been most welcome.

Actually, it might have helped a bit with Rondo as well, as I probably would have a better replacement than Pargo stashed on the IL.

Probably wouldnt' have made a difference with Rondo going down, I don't think anyone's ever won losing their 1st rounder to the season before, but I'd probably be sitting in 3-4th place getting Bogut back now instead of 9th place with an IL.

You know what? Nevermind. No IL is fine with me. Just have to live with the idea that my season will largely be determined by the injury gods. It's a little too random for my tastes, but, if that's the nature of the game so be it.

I'm just saying your season will be determined by injury gods whether we have IL or not. 20 points, 9 asists per week, with bad FG% and/or FT%, doesn't usually change the outcome of a matchup. well of course, sometimes it does change it but I don't think this possibility is worth the complications we are risking with the IL

This. The league is 280 players deep.

Ya, most of us have a 10th man on our rosters. That's pretty gnarly. But that's what makes this league so much fun.

You know, I don't think the IL is the problem here...the real problem? Don't trade with the guy who gave you Thornton and Valanciunas. 8-) He also had Harrington on his roster once, so that's probably a bad omen too.

In seriousness though, injuries usually determine the winner in Fantasy, regardless of the league. Having an IL only complicates things.

Still, Wes, I know I've complained about losing some of my best guys, but you've got me beat. Heck, you've got everyone beat. You have the absolute worst injury luck.

To the extent Fantasy Basketball is supposed to mirror real basketball, injuries do, and certainly should, have a big effect on the outcome.

ANd, has anyone noticed the dramatic increase in injuries over the fast few seasons?
