At the very least, Mo would command attention from the PG spot. As stated, he could even run the 2 at times. Spo could utilize his talents.

Im not a fan of inhibiting Coles progression. He was noticeably better this year than last, and has room to grow. I love his attitude and aggressiveness. Mario makes plays in the playoffs consistently. His ego is his biggest asset and a very valuable commodity. I dont see the point in taking minutes away from two qualified performers.

Mario and Cole is the Heats Joe Dumars and Isiah Thomas. Heat will succeeded with those two at helm.

Jesus.. i need the season to start already..

About Mo, it's kinda funny. i think we could really use him NEXT year, after Allen retires and Maybe we dont re-sign Rio. Getting Mo for 2014-2015, for the Vet Min, would be huge for us.

But for this upcoming season, it's not really a Priority. Cole needs minutes if we want to keep devloping him. Ray and Wade take up all the minutes in SG - nothing to give Mo there. And if Mo is just a one year rental, it doesn't make sense to throw Rio to bench. Mo isn't a big enough upgrade for that.

Mo is a nice offensive player, but our current guard rotation and the fact that Mo will move on next year make his addition less exciting then it could have been. I still think we should take him if he wants to join on a discount but the PG position will get extremely crowded and Spo will have hands full.

Hardly an upgrade worthy of inhibiting two young qualified players. I will have to look up his playoff performances, but i recall him playing below his regular season performances.

While I don't see the pressing need for Mo Williams, there's no denying that he's head and shoulders above Rio and Cole offensively.

Its not a need but people are acting like just because its not a weakness that means we shouldnt improve it.Chalmers is as good as he is ever going to get and god forbid he went down with an injury.Do we have Ray Allen handle the ball more or play LeBron 42 min a game lmao

A 3rd PG would be a good signing.A 3rd PG better than both your current PGs would be a fantastic signing.

I dont even think Mo Gotti is realistic nor do am I dying to have him on the team but he is pretty clearly better than Chalmers and Cole offensively or as a spark off the bench.

He's not coming at the min unless we guarantee him rotation minutes.

In other words, he's not coming.

So something like :

PG : Mo-24, Rio-16, Cole-8
SG : Wade-30, Allen-18

If Cole keeps improving he might get a head of Rio, If one of them is hot a particular game he could take the other one's minutes.

Wade needs to take it easy in RS, limiting his minutes and makes sure he's fresh and effective when playing is a smart move, Ray is another year older so he could live with limited minutes too.

That's a very deep and versatile guard rotation.

Mo Williams doesn't show up in the post Season
Rio Does.
Ill take Mo Williams as a back up to Rio.
3 Straight Finals Rio has showed up, to me it'll have to take a player heads and shoulders better than him to take his spot.

my thoughts exactly. mo williams is a good player. he is better than both rio and cole and only a blind homer would say otherwise. as it stands cole and rio have no competition. adding mo on a vet minimum would add some healthy comp for that position. wade needs reduced minutes as does allen. what i like is that all those 3 point guards have different styles so we can really adapt to the other teams back court.

people say coles development would halt but i argue that hell get better seeing that he would then have to work even harder to get minutes

i also wonder, now that the skyforce is an official hybrid/development team for the heat. can we sign players and have them under contract but not part of our 15 man squad. id really like for us to keep ennis but i think hell be best suited for 2014-2015 rather than this coming season.

I didn't say anything else, as I didn't call it a pressing need. That means it's a need, but not one we desperately have to address compared to others.

Hey guys, I come in peace. I'm not a Heat fan but always been a fan of Dwyane wade. I don't want to start a new thread so I just want to ask you guys here

Could D wade play pointguard when he was younger or now, or could he just do that in spot up minutes ? Or is he just way more effective as shootguard?

Spoiler:
The reason I am asking is because I am being a big time nerd building some alltime fantasy team and might want to use D wade as pointguard or main ballhandler for maybe 12 to 15 minutes a night

D Wade is usually the best with the ball in his hands so he could play Point but he got other dudes to do that for him anyways. You dont want the best player on the team handling all the duties of the game which is why he is predominantly at SG. He has the ball handling to be point but he is way more effective at SG. For the minutes you are asking , yes , he could play point but if you go above 15 you are really over working him when he does the most damage at SG.
