Obviously they would give up the farm if it meant Melo and Lebron. But I still don't see it being that easy to move Stat and/or Bargs.
If Philly is willingly taking on salary in exchange for a middle of the road prospect why wouldn't Chicago be calling them with a Boozer/Butler/Snell package? Chicago could even add in one of their picks. Philly could possibly get back a better prospect who doesn't have the injury history, a pick sooner then any we could give, and take on less money all for helping the Bulls get more cap room for Melo. Wouldn't that be a better more likely deal then taking on Stat?
Do we know Philly turned down that package?
And the farm includes multiple unconditional first round picks. BTW, the amount between the floor and the cap is a little over 6 million. We include 3 million in cash considerations and that is 3 million out of Philly owners pockets to add multiple young players and first round picks.
