Spurs have implications if we are aiming for a 4th or 5th seed, but is really a crap shoot anyway.

For sure. Thank you for your clarification. IMO, I just want to make the playoffs and not be the 8th seed. With the way Saturday went, don't think we should count on all these other teams to mess-up, giving us a shot at the 4th or 5th seed. More likely that just one of these teams falls short

Im reallistically aiming for the 6th seed. Have to win both and hope OKC lose tonight, which is fairly probable since the Heat still playing for seeding. I like our chances against Portland with Jimmy back.

zero chance at a 4th/5th seed...6th is the money spot but help is needed if OKC/NO lose as much as possible. assuming Portland/utah & SA take up the 3,4 5 spots.

Portland or Utah.

I would prefer Portland (as I think would be easier for the wolves) but a Rubio-Thibs matchup would be highly fun too.

Honestly fine with the #7.

Would almost rather win one game against GSW and lose the others in competitive fashion, as opposed to losing a tough series against Portland. I think taking a game from GSW, even without Curry, would provide a big boost to our young players

I have seen this a bunch and I am telling you GSW will smash us too. It wont be competitive, if it is I will be down right shocked. We could luck out a win maybe but that's about it.

There absolutely is a chance for 4th or 5th. Might not be likely, but there is a chance.

Let's see if the Warriors are going to rest players in their last game of the season vs Utah. If they don't rest there is still a chance to get the 4th spot.

Klomp is killing it with the tie-breaker knowledge.

The best thing about these last two games is we are at home. That could be the edge we need.

All it takes is time and effort to do a little research, and that's one of the things I feel I do best.

16-1 at one point. That's a phenomenal start.

So if the T Wolves win tonight (most likely) and Denver loses, does the winner of their last game of the year matchup get the 8 seed? Or how does that tiebreaker work?

Too early to tell. Too many other factors.

Ah, interesting. I'll be keeping a close eye on it. The West is a lot more fun down the stretch than the East.

Go Spurs? I feel guilty even suggesting it.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
