Re: Official Offseason thread Vol 3: Bck2BACK
Simple fact:
Bosh was more important to our titles than Lebron. There are very few elite players so humble that they can accept being a third wheel. Not rock the boat. And then cooly come up with big plays when the supposed superstar freezes.
Love you Bosh. So sorry that your career was cut short. Without your problem the Heat would have appeared in another final or two during your tenure.

Both Booker and Winslow running on the same team. Booker looks otherworldly in this game while Winslow barely sees the ball, and we chose Winslow over him in the draft
Find me a pre draft mock with Booker over Winslow

Re: Official Offseason thread Vol 3: Bck2BACK
Most on this board had Booker add or pick with Kaminsky very high. I had miles Turner. Mainly because nobody had Winslow falling out of top 4. Bit whatever caused scouts to sour on Winslow maybe we're should have listened. So far he has turned into a limited long term prospect when most including me thought he was a can't miss prospect.
Imo Winslow should be driving and dunking on everyone while learning his spots to shoot. But honestly I don't think Winslow failed is I think the heat failed Winslow. He showed those abilities early and our system tamed that fire. You see stories like siakam but I firmly believe players like that wouldn't break out here. He would be a healthy snap the day after he drops 20. We're like to keep them humble when really we need monsters.
Point of this rant in a round about way is Booker would not be the same booker on this team. Happy for them but we got us.

Bosh didn’t play like he did in Toronto because of Spo. Whenever Wade or LeBron or both were out, CB4 showed up. Beenie Weenie talking about rebounding but when LeBeta bricked against the Spurs in game 6, who got the rebound? Chrissss Bosssshhhhh
The #1 jersey is very well deserving of hanging from the rafters next to #33, #10 and #32 with #3, #40 and #6 to follow.

Spo’s System hurts players...the Big 3 won in spite of his system, not because of it.

No.
I can understand Bosh sacrificing the most for the team but that doesn't make him the most important player in those title runs. The simple fact is that Miami could have traded Bosh for a lesser player who could play Bosh's eventual role on the team much easier then trading LeBron to replace his role on the team.

Wade, LeBron, and Bosh easily played the most efficient basketball of their careers, during that four-year run, as a direct result of Spo's system. That efficiency got them two titles in four years. Would have been three had LeBron not shriveled up against Dallas the first season. He ultimately ended up costing Wade a second Finals MVP in the process as well.

Considering the hype, he fell for a reason. There's no guarantee another team would've extended him.

I brought it up "because" I did my research. You can go visit NBA.com and Basketball Reference just like I did.

Correction 3 had spo benched Bibby and started chalmers when Dallas benched JKid and started barrea, Rick Carlisle said it himself "all they needed to do was an adjustment that never came"

LeBron was already the best player in the league at the point. He averaged 17.8 PPG on 15.0 FGA for the series.
HEAT led 2-1 in the series with a chance to go up 3-1 and put a stranglehold on the Finals. Wade scores 32 PTS, shooting 13-20 FG (.650). LeBron scores 8 PTS, shooting 3-11 FG (.273).
HEAT had a 9-point lead with just over 10 minutes left in the game. LeBron played the entire fourth quarter and took just one shot... ONE shot. HEAT loses the game 86-83.
This wasn't a matter of Spo starting Bibby over Chalmers. It was about the best player in the game vanishing at the most pivotal moment.

Re: Official Offseason thread Vol 3: Bck2BACK
The thing I noticed in 2011 Finals was the team rallied around feeding Lebron to 'get his' rather than just doing what was working. At least that's how I felt at the time watching it slip away. It felt so lacklustre for a finals. I think there was a clear desire by teammates to prop Lebron up. Am I biased or is that what happened?

IMHO we would have won in spite of lebron’s performance, but in typical spo fashion he held on to the rope attached to that dead horse he keeps beating till it’s too late. He always waited till we’re in a hole then bring charmers in, if spo would just do adjustments from time to time it wouldn’t have been even close in spite of lebron’s no show. And I’m not just talking about one game, I talking about all of them.

Without Bosh (and with a "lesser" player) we wouldn't have won a championship. LeBrick was essential but Bosh was also essential.
