Feeling the same here.

“He knows how to win and make players better. If I’m lucky enough to play for him, I’d definitely try to pick his brain at anything. I already know he’ll make me into a great basketball player".
“I’m big on winning,’’ Mudiay said. “I want to show I’m a winner and leader — lead by example on the court and off. I think making my other teammates better is my main thing.’’

He looks that big because he's in the middle of lifting. He's probably just back to his normal 240-250 instead of the 230 he was at last year.

Agreed. It's like people talking themselves outta Blake Griffin when it was clear that he was the best player coming out that year.
The kid is 19 with such an advanced feel. In the pros he's gonna improve his deficiencies. I like KAT but I like what I've heard...the alleged jump shot and perimeter abilities. I don't know for certain that his skill set translates because I didn't seen it during his time in Kentucky. I don't know if he's a good as billed on defense because he had the luxury of playing with the best defensive big in college in WCS. He also was a foul magnet in his limited time. I'm not bashing him but if we pick first we should pick Okafor. More so than any other lotto team, we need a guy, a big guy that can be be an offensive focal point. But the truth is if we pick top four we are getting a good player. My guy though is Jah.
Towns really had like 2 months of solid play while Okafor played well all season. I hope we don't get the first pick because it will force Phil to take Towns. Okafor will become an all-star much quicker just because of the sheer fact that he can score points. People are so adamant that he won't improve his defense. Why? He's 19 years old, he just needs to get wit the right coaching staff.
I remember when people said Drummond didn't have a motor, that he was lazy blah blah blah. Look at him now, might be the 2nd best pick in that draft class.

If we get the 3rd pick don't let this kid get away from us. I salivate at the though of Him and Galloway getting after people defensively.

What I don't get is why fans and the media are acting like this is his ceiling? So Towns can have all this potential because of his age and we can use the excuse "it's because KY used him that way" but that doesn't apply to Okafor?
The kid was a freshman. He has just as much upside as anyone in this draft. And based on what I've seen, he's the one true dominant force in the top 4

The second worst team has not picked second since 2006 when we sent the Bulls the rights to LaMarcus Aldridge.
Good. This means that the second worst team is due to win the first pick in the lottery.

I don't know what some of you dudes are not getting. There's no bias against Okafor. It's just that the things he lacks are the things you can't teach!
* You can't teach having a motor
* You can't teach shot blocking instincts
* You can't teach having a nose for the ball and the anticipation to rebound out of your area
* You can't teach defensive awareness
* You can't teach lateral quickness
* You can't even always teach FT shooting (Shaq, DeAndre, Big Ben, Rodman, Rondo, etc.)
If this wasn't the case how come a dedicated hard worker like Amar'e never improved defensively? Just because you come into the league at 19 doesn't mean you are destined to improve your weaknesses.

Take normal chances.
