That really isn't the point. The Knicks apparently would have matched if he came to them up front and said that the offer was $5 million more. Not sure why people are not getting this part of why the Knicks apparently feel they were lied to and used.

Unsure of Linsanity clamor once Felton came aboard. Why create an uncomfortable logjam filled with controversy. That's not exactly what feel-good Disney Movie from last February/March was about. That was an unforgettable moment in time and would never be same. It passed when Lin redid offer sheet.

Many believed that last year and the Knicks picked up Chandler, Novak, JR and that Lin dude. As fans we have a limited view and many times don't see the whole picture. We will be fine going forward so lets try and enjoy what we do have now.

Deron Williams and Carmelo are close? So Deron Williams getting a better coach fired by leading an obvious coup and then winning absolutely diddly with the Nets is explained away how?

Griffin got how far in the playoffs with a better team?

Griffin and Dirk are no gods, but that's kinda the point I'm making about Carmelo. If I got to choose between Griffin and Carmelo right now, I'd take Griffin for sure.

You said that both of them are better. You also said Griffin is better. The point is they are not better and if they were Knicks they'd be railroaded by Knick fans looking for scapegoats.

I hear ya, I just dont believe he really wanted to be a Knick. I think he would have made more $$$$ in endorsements here as well.

Yeah you can't be taking Blake because you think he is the better player.

Giving Felton 4 years is a fireable offense, sorry it is. And I don't think Felton is good enough to start over Kidd at this point.
Felton is not a great scorer, can't finish around the basket, doesn't draw fouls...most of his points come off that low % pull up jumper. On top of that he's an average playmaker.

The moment "passed" because Dolan made the decision that it had passed. Dolan, and only Dolan, made this decision. And he is screwing the fanbase.

Gotta give it to Berman, that is well thought out, although i don't agree with it.

If I ran the team the roster would look a lot different. But I'm not mad at what we got.

Please God let Felton show up in shape, Amar'e healthy and remind Melo from time to time that basketball is a team sport.
Play time is over.

So Carmelo for me is nº8.

Where's Wade? Bynum? Rondo?

Wade for me is nº12, he really chokes hard, I don't like the player and also he doesn't play well lately.

Bynum it's 15-20 I think, Rondo too, Rondo is the 6? 7? best PG in the league, he's not in the top10 players, no way.

Screwing the fanbase? I could see a Bobcats fan saying that about MJ, but Dolan is screwing the fanbase? Lin kinda screwed himself. He got greedy and it cost him NY.

SMDH.... I can't believe you're falling for this. Let's just wait and see... If it was Lin's idea and not Morey's who was in a terrible position... I'll be shocked and admit I was wrong.

When you have every major media outlet reporting a month ago what the max contract a team can offer Lin was and every media outlet reporting that the Knicks would match anything I don't how you can come to the conclusion with the two previous reports conceded think it was Lin who had to educate Morey and make him privy to how he could sign Lin without Ny matching or force Morey into giving him more money.

Hell yea, me too man. It's just tough to argue a guy trying to make every dollar possible, because nothing is guaranteed tomorrow. How about our billionaire owner throwing down some cash?
