UWM tried to Blazer that game and the Badgers still lost.

I sincerely hope this wasn't a reaction to the travel call because they don't come much more obvious than that one.

Anyway, good win for Milwaukee.

Edit: Also, a cocky Milwaukee fan talking about NIT rematches.

You gotta feed Nigel there. Settling for 3 from one of your worst shooters this game is terrible.

That was the dumbest final possession I've seen in awhile. What a dumb team.

I'm a UW grad. But it was good to see UWM finally get a win. It's not like the Badgers are going anywhere this year.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I frigging hate Bo's strategy to take last shot when you're down 1. Take the 2 for 1 chance in case you miss, which you are probable to if you wait until the very end and the team knows it's going up at that point. Bo has long done this, and it's incredibly irritating. And I'm sure the homers will come back to prove how big of fans they supposedly are and say Bo's infallible in every aspect of the game, but it's about probabilities. And the probability favors probing earlier for a shot. Some coaches are so defensive-minded though they just can't accept the concept of possibly giving up more points if you don't have to, even if you're down.

F.Y.I., I am a Milwaukee grad, but this brings me no joy.

It's December 9th. I'm certainly not impressed at this point, but I expect major improvement. Not sure why anyone wouldn't.

As a Milwaukee grad, I'm smiling from ear to ear. Biggest win since the 06 tournament honestly. Just an ugly game to watch though. Arians was awful.... but Vitto Brown. I have no words for how bad he looked. I rarely watch Badgers games, but he seems lost out there.

Yikes. Just got to roll with the punches with this group. Ups and downs will be commonplace.

I'm a Milwaukee grad and this makes me happy.

Back in the early 90's I was one of the few who attended games at the BC hoping to cheer on my bball team. Yet it was pin drop silence. Probably 700 in attendence in an arena for 18K, the 700 was spread out everywhere it looked like 200. I would be the only one screaming.

I remember heckling an opposing player wearing one of those bill lambeer masks and during the pindrop silence while he was taking a free throw I screamed at the top of my lungs, "YOU STINK MASK BOY!!!!"

It echoed for a while off the rafters of the BC and everyone turned around and looked at me. Some laughed, some just looked. Later in the game maskboy got the best of me with a game winning shot.

A couple days later a professor accosted me in the hallway and asked about me attending Panther basketball games. Oh man, so embarrassing.

I also used to go to UW-Milwaukee soccer games when they were a top 20 school. I knew a couple of the players on scholarship. That was less than 100 in attendance, but that wasn't surprising.

So for all those pathetic years of rooting for a team with no success, no attendance, and unable to defeat scrub basketball players with Bill Lambeer face masks, games like this do make me happy.

Although nothing would make me happier than watching UWM beat Marquette, OMG f*** those guys.

*(Although I do root for them in the tourney). :shy:

Great win to UWM. I am a UW born and bled alum, but we would be remiss in not congratulating you guys on a solid win. If you can win graciously, you must lose graciously as well.

It isnt our year.. but they will have their moments.

Also, if this game didnt cement that redshirt on Pritzl.... someone needs to go retweek that foot. We have 1 scholarship next year and from what I hear we are likely not to fill it. Let Pritzl step back a class.. enjoy college and the fine selection of superior wisconsin women. Not the ones from Superior... just the superior ones.. ok, i lose.

But my point remains... Pritzl needs to be advised to RS.

Koenig has shot 28% in UW's losses, 54% in wins.

Pretty obvious if he isn't scoring the Badgers aren't winning.

He was bad last night. He was taking stupid shots all night long. I understand no one else could hit anything either, other than Hayes, but come on. He said after the game that he hits that final shot 9 out of 10 times. BS. He's pretty darn good at those pull-ups he takes, but last night he did not have it.

I'm fine with Koenig having bad games, he's going to.

In their losses, Vitto Brown:
3-8 with a turnover, but he seemed a lot worse against Western Illinois
4-13 vs. Georgetown
3-15 @Oklahoma
1-9 last night with a charge (even if it was a close call).

This is an odd year where Bo sometimes HAS to roll with Vitto Brown mostly (I am wondering why the hell Illikainen didn't get some run last night). I don't care about Goergetown/Oklahoma as they probably lose those anyways, but just give me a reasonable offensive possession instead of the trash that Vitto put up and they at least just beat WIU and UWM.

And in general, he's a good guy and has made a nice progression...he's just killing them as a negative on offense. The other guys suck but they don't crank high usage numbers.

Big game against MU sat. If UW loses, they are pretty much done right?

This is probably the worst matchup between the schools in like 20 years. I'm a MU guy so hoping Ellenson can go off.
