You should ask what happened last year, because that was the anomaly. Did he find a genie and make a wish that he could play basketball, but only for a limited time?

Maybe so. I really thought he had arrived. :(

Great run to close the half though.

He's completely terrified to shoot jumpers now. He passes up a ton of shots that he would've shot without hesitation in past years.

I have no idea how we're only down by 1. Gotta give them credit for the fight back to close out the 1st half.

Incredible end to the half. Highly encouraging actually. MSU played about as well as they could for 18 minutes and we left a ton of points on the floor by missing FTs and front ends. To be down 1 is awesome.

Did the little things there to get back in it. Fought for and positioned well for rebounds to create opportunities directly and indirectly. Big half for Showalter. He's the heart of the team. If not for him and Happ they could be called the Bash-ful Brothers.

LOL Vitto.

It's sad that he has to play because his backups are even worse.

Nigel being 2/7 from the line is pretty inexcusable.

So almost 6 minutes into the second half and Gard has not gone back to the line up that went on a big run to end the first half......curious

I think with the team looking like crap 3-4 weeks ago, I wouldn't have been surprised about losing @MSU, @Mich, and maybe one more and I don't think I'd have been too angry.

The crappy defense @OSU and the NW loss are killer. I think we've played "ok" today, @Mich, and the offense was alright @OSU. Sprinkle in some bad luck and the wheels are falling off for the season.

5/13 from the line in a tough road game where those free points absolutely matter.

One thing I think he learned today is that he can sprinkle in Iverson and Pritzl but they better be with 4 main rotation guys. Otherwise, we need to go 6 deep the rest of the way.

The only portion of the game where we looked legitimately bad, it involved Hill and Thomas getting absolutely singled out and steamrolled.

They are trying, just don't quite have the horses to get over the hump in these games.

Certainly not a shock to lose in a building where they haven't won in 13 years but Michigan St. is down enough this year where we had a good chance, especially with our seniors against their relative inexperience.

I can't say I've enjoyed watching too many games this year. Even when they win, it's a damn chore.

A lot of this is on the defense, but in the 4 recent losses we've had, our opponents have shot 45% combined on 3s.

In danger of dropping out of top 4 in conference. Almost inconceivable prior to the season. Even more so with how bad the conference ended up being.
